I believe in forgiving, but not forgetting. I don't support things like "i fOrgIvE yOu bUt yOu diD tHiS tO mE 18 yEaRs aGo uGh". It's just hard to forget. You can tape broken glass to make it intact, but the cracks will always be there if it's been broken once.
I believe it's like 5 minutes crafts shows "tape that cracked plate and keep it in milk, it'll heal". You just need someone or something that can make you forget it

I agree with you! And not everyone is going to like us. Even famous people have people who don't like them. It could be for silly reasons but that does not matter. There is someone who will appreciate you and care about you, like you said but you may not notice it but its there! This had happened to me before and you could sometimes tell if people care about you. Like I could tell that my friends do! There more of my new friends but I don't know! You may think that no one cares about you and that you were just thrown under a bus, but that's how I felt and now that I know they care I feel a lot more better than before! And you stay safe too! "do you believe in forgiving and forgetting?" Depends, I usually pretty easily forgive but I never ever forget, but the thing is why apologize when you don't actually mean it? There's this person that's hurting people I love like really often and all that person does is like sorry for that and then acts like everything is fine and that repeats over and over again, but why do you apologize if you don't actually mean it? I'd rather have you not apologizing but actually regretting and maybe at least realizing how it's hurting us...
The apology is meaningless if they don't mean that, I believe in second chances but I give them only when they're actually useful, maybe it sounds weird and bad but you shouldn't forgive and forget or give the second chance if they don't have the regret and the feelings in their apology bcz then you'll end up hurt again and sometimes even more then before that sooooo that was a long text and if someone actually read that.... you're good 👍, welp byeeeeeee 👋

Alright guys.... here's an UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I confessed to him in 2019. We kinda lost contact (during the pandemic) and came in touch in 2021. I ran into him exactly 4 yrs later in 2023. we could not stop texting each other. we even met in nights just to talk.... he did not stop flirting with me and we almost kissed(we didnt kiss because i was very confused about the reality. i could not believe it!!!). Anyways a few months later he asked me if we could be friends with benefits. i denied at first and later agreed. once again, it did not feel right so i rejected him. Yet he has not stopped flirting and sending romantic tiktoks n stuff.... I swear life is strange!

I remember writing a letter of confession to the girl I love.
It was a serious deal to me, because it had been one of the first times I was truly in love. A weird feeling.
I literally wrote the whole thing (it was 2 pages) on a word document, then I had to write it again on a piece of paper.
Technology wasn't on my side; the printer was out of service.
We spent the last week of school together. I think we had good chemistry going on xd
But then, I noticed that she wasn't getting along with her friends. I'm pretty sure it was some 'Secret Santa' drama. It upset me that I was not able to see her smile or hear her laughs. I really tried my best to cheer her up, though.
On Wednesday night, I had a dilemma:
To confess to her amid all of her friend drama, or stay silent and hope things will go well. (it was guilt either way)
I had to do it. I can deal with rejection, but I can never deal with the fact that I could've told her how I felt.
So, fast forward on Thursday last period. I thought I was ready.
No, I wasn't. LMAO
I chickened out last minute, and my friend offered to give her the letter, and this handmade gift I got together. After that, I ran away and let my friend do the rest. Then, I was standing around a nearby corner. I really hated myself for that stupid act.
"So much for courage." The last thing we talked about was dumb report cards. The last thing we did was smile at each other. And, the last thing I saw was her hair. I never even got to say goodbye. I'll never hear her answer. I really hated this.
I guess I just walked away after that, and went home. The holidays are a good way to distract myself from this pain.
Then I remembered that 2022 is coming up. I'll have to see her again. And, I really do not want to. I'm really scared XD

I see many people talking about forgiving and forgetting, so I'll share my opinion on it. (I completely respect all of your opinions though) I kind of believe in forgiving and forgetting. I believe forgiving is the best thing to do. When it comes to forgetting, I don't believe you should completely forget it. Because with the hurt comes growth. The other side of it though, I do think you should forget it. But when I say you should forget it, I mean don't dwell on it and get mad at the person all over again, there's a difference between appreciating the emotional growth that came out of a situation and thinking on the past and putting yourself in a place where your planting deep anger in something that's already passed.
I guess what I'm saying is, grow from the hurt, appreciate that growth. Just don't get mad at something that you should've already forgiven someone for, don't think on it and get mad at the situation that has already happened. You've grown stronger from it.

many people seem to want revenge but that really just creates an infinite cycle, you sufer, than you make the other suffer, than the others will make you suffer even more, and you’ll never be free from the suffering cause you’re still dwelling in the feeling. People grow, anyone can commit mistakes, that doesn’t mean you have to accept the suffering, but it’s better to move on and find better people, letting people understand and learn from their mistakes rather than just cultivating meaningless rage

I'm definitely attracted to humour above everything else, no matter how beautiful, smart, strong or kind someone is, no matter their personality, their beliefs, their opinions, if they don't know how to relax and just enjoy some comedy I can't get along with them.

I had actually not confessed directly...
So , there was a person in my class whom I liked for a really long time...
His father was transferred to some other city and due to that his family had to shift...
I really wanted to confess him , but I didn't want our friendship to be broken because of this , so I just wrote a letter , I had confessed my love in it and asked him to please not go , but I knew I shouldn't ask that to him , so I had added in it that i know that I shouldn't have been asking him for this , so I just kept it in my pencil case ( cuz no one ever touches my pencil case )....
Well , somehow , one of my friends saw a piece of paper lying in my pencil case and took it without my asking ( that person had no idea that it was a letter , she thought it was a useless page that I didn't want )...
And she gasped as she read it , when she gasped while reading it , ofc others thought it had some thing worth seeing in it...
So , they snatched it from her and read it and as they had been in contact with the person I had crush on , they told it to him and they all laughed at it together....
I was in a depression thingy for almost two years and couldn't move on...
And now I'm proud to say that I've moved on and learnd the value of self love...

One day, I was crying, I heard someone walking by, and suddenly I stopped crying and acted very normal. After that I looked in the mirror and I could not even realize that I had cried so hardly before. hence, proved that imma pro fake smiler :) I smile cause it's easier than explaining why I'm sad🙃
I've confessed several times, actually. The answers ranged from "You're weird" to "I know you like me, but I don't see you that way". The one time I thought I had a chance, with my best friend, I decided to follow the advice of not saying anything (since confessing never really worked). Either the guy's too shy to say anything or I failed again, because we literally did everything together before he left to another country. I've just accepted nothing works for me.

I have had a bad experience w/ making friends and turning out to being toxic friendships and I'm proud to say that I've had a best friend for 3 years there for me when I was in a toxic friendship I have recently recovered from, which the "friendship" ended over 5 months ago from toxic friend. I believe that revenge is something that is pointless and it's something that people do more up to make themselves feel better other than to give somebody what they deserve because in my eyes it doesn't matter what you do to somebody because what you do will not change what they've done all it is an attempt to make them feel your anger sadness or whatever you're feeling it won't change what happened it's just pointless

Say, if a friend said things behind your back or your partner cheated and later apologized to you (and ment it); you wouldn't just be able to forget what they did. Sometimes you have to come to terms with the memory.
Sometimes Remembering IS part of forgiving. Keeping that memory will also probably, help you in the future to not get hurt again.
