My 6th clear this tournament, which is the most I've ever done. I ended up enjoying this game a lot more than I thought I would, no one really talks about this game nowadays and I'd assumed it was one of CAVE's more mediocre games, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and learning how its game mechanics work. I'd definitely say it's one of their most underrated games. It plays kind of like a mix of Battle Garegga and Espgaluda, where it has the medal mechanics from Garegga (they work almost the same way here as they do in that game, only big difference being that your medal value is reduced to 1/10th of what it was before when you drop them) but also allows you to generate more medals by killing enemies with the lard shot, which is a super weapon that charges up as you collect piggies, much like Espgaluda's Kakusei Mode. Despite its high survival difficulty, this is a pretty accessible score game, which is also good because this is one of the few CAVE games with "Every" extends, in this case giving you a life for every 10,000,000 points, so scoring benefits your survival play as well. Even with the Every extends, this is still a pretty tough game, and given v1.0's loop requirements of a NO MISS first loop and the lack of extends on the second loop, I can not imagine the horror of trying to 2-ALL this version. (v1.01 is apparently way easier though, and actually one of CAVE's easiest 2-ALLs from what I've heard.)

Only Yagawa game I haven't tried. The concept is so out there; although I guess Pink Sweets was already a bit bizarre. Kinda funny how he went from making the most realistic game in Raizing's library to one of the most esoteric, even by Cave standards.
Now why are there so goddamn many 1.01 versions of Cave games. Their release schedule must have been hell back then, afaik DFK 1.0 was one of the most poorly received games they put out in arcades. 5 month development cycle goes brrrr.
Anyway, INCREDIBLE run, 6 clears in just one tournament is crazy. The rate you are able to deconstruct each game to make the learning process easier astonishes me. No notes.
