My mama's tool of choice was the switch and it left those tire tracks on you that eventually went away. With a switch(limb off a limb Bush--if not a tree), you didn't have to have talent for it to hurt badly. But, yeah... My late dad's tool of choice was the leather belt, he was ex-military, and he could lift each chjIb on each arm at the same time(including me, who was husky). He was very strong and--when he hit you on your behind--it felt like the hardest board whooping that I ever got at school every time! Every whack felt like that board! Now, he did not whoop for every infraction, but he certainly could do it well and you got the idea to behave yourself! For example, I once stole a whole lot of money, but he could tell I was very sorry for it and he did not whoop me! He was like those scary movies on whooping; you didn't know when it was coming, but--when you got it--it was a more intense experience of your life and you dreaded it like touching a hot stove!
