I don't understand the level of quality put into the transformations. The new, important characters (Iroha, Nanami, and such) get kinda detailed magical girl transformations. The Madoka cast gets longer ones, with quite a lot of symbolic meaning to them. (Homura reversing time; Mami being the dress-up witch; Kyoko *burning like a witch at stake* ) Then you have the not-vitally-important ones, which range from quick shots to quite longer, focused magical girl transformations.
