- Some Terraria tools you've probably never used... Whilst I was having a good ol' look through the Terraria wiki, I came across a miscellaneous section of tools that included a bunch of stuff I hardly see anyone talking about. And so today, we're going to be looking at some of my picks for the most obscure Terraria tools in game. Some are useful, some aren't, so lets take a look shall we! Enjoy!

The Gravedigger's Shovel is ridiculously good, I love how you can mine normal blocks so fast in early game through the jungle and snow biome.
the gravedigger shovel is insanely useful on dontdigup, i love it a lot

I love the sickle so much! The ability to collect hay to create merchant houses without tearing up the world is priceless ❤
Also dummies.
I used it in skyblock challenge and was godsend. U can always make new tiles and save resources till u get enough for dirt bombs to make an actual dirt biome

Sickle is great! I usually use it to easily gather large amounts of hay, so I can make a very longe brige in hell to fight the Wall of Flesh on.

i almost never have a playthrough without the gravediggers shovel! its very good for the jungle as youd think
and im glad you mentioned the melee capabilities, its genuinely a decent early game melee as well with ore swords to compare against, meaning you can just get the shovel super early and its both an exploration & terraforming upgrade but also a combat one
Graveyards require 7 graves, not 5 and is also cancelled out by the happy buff caused by sunflowers which mean you need even more graves to qualify. But still, love the shovel, amazing in early game, especially in conjunction with the chisel/hand of creation/mining potion/mining armour
Some of the tools are a must have
But are rare to get like the axe
Honestly I've been pretty lucky with it last playthrough i got it after like 4th fight with plantera trying to get he seedler

@@Denniz686 don’t really feel a need for the axe personally, the axe of regrowth is good enough for most of the game
Used the shovel recently and it was very helpful when exploring underground jungle in pre-hard mode
As a proud sickle user I object to that. Good way to save up earlygame wood when making houses. (Or build up to sky islands if chest luck isn't on your side)
I think it's funny that there's an item that just makes purely decorational sand castles and absolutely nothing else
I can't believe how much Sickle is underated. It allows you to spare materials, allows you to easily get tons of blocks you may use for bridges and exploration, it is considerably cheap, it's sold pretty early since it's a merchant item AND it even does as a great substitute to some broadswords out there, with 19 melee damage and auto swing.
Bro this thing is amazing when used to it's max potential, just like the flare gun.
Grave Digger's Shovel: I never used it.
Rubble Maker: I use it a lot for adding plants and rocks to my builds. Sometimes just a simple thing like a skull.
Sickle: Only used it once or twice to make roofs for some builds and make combat dummies.
Sand Castle Bucket: Almost never used it, except for the one time i used the cone shaped one for my underground desert build.
I use the sickle so much cuz dps test with dummys is so fun
Heard of all of them, of those though, I've only ever had the Sickle, and the Sandcastle Bucket, and only used the Sickle. All good items. Excellent video by the way! 🙃
We've been using the grave digger's shovel a lot in our modded world, been real useful even at the end of pre-hardmode, especially for terraforming and fairly nice for sealing away the evils
The shovel comes in clutch when I’m digging out bunkers or leveling ground or mountains when I don’t want to fuck shit up with the DCU
the fact you can destroy a demon altar with a guitar, but not a platinum hammer is hilarious lol
The sickle is one of my first purchases in any save, really underrated tool

The grave diggers an old favorite of mine. I did one sand/glass run half way through pre hard mode, and never had to do it again
Gonna stop you before I even watch the video here on the Scicle. On the Terraria map, "Isle of Voices", that item is necessary to start bridging around to the other islands. It and the Guide to Cordage are required to even remotely get started there, and I love the thatching style roof it makes.
Gravediggers shovel is very good, and especially so in GFB, considering the merging of snow and ice that tends to happen and blocks take 1 less hit to break on gfb/ftw
You can even use the hay to make bread for both food and money.
Gravediggers shovel definitely gotta try it out. The sickle I use that all the time
I regularly play Legendary Journey 2x spawn rates and I love getting absolutely everything I can before progressing forward,
Including the Grave digger, Rubble maker, Terraspark boots, golden fishing rod, net, tackle box, ultra absorbent sponge etc.
I wonder if you could farm for the Terragrim by constantly placing Sword Shrines with Rubblemaker?
I always get the sickle, Grass is plentiful and mostly useless. I always make a couple of dummies, and use the hay to make a town or something similar. Love the texture. Wish it had more furniture options "Or maybe it does, IDK haven't played in awhile"

I always grab a sickle to build houses and dummies early on, literally every play through
Another interesting thing about the grave digger is that it's really good at mining up gravestones for an early game pickaxe, making it quite convenient for getting rid of all those tombstones that litter the area in/beneath arenas.
I'll definitively be using the shovel to isolate the jungle from evil biomes from now on. I wish I knew about it sooner.
Lately I have been trying building more complex things in Terraria instead of just building arenas and NPC houses, all I can say is that it's pretty fun, definitely worth a try.
Also the Rubblemaker was a blessing!
I love making the Shovel, it's so great to speedmine through the jungle for good early game loot without having to mine half the time, also it doesn't fall off too fast
By far, the sickle is the one I've used the most out of the four above.
It's efficient to build up a large amount of hay and then start building a base some twenty or so blocks away from the ground. It's easier if you bring something like the Snake Charmer's Flute to not leave any trace when you do it, but even if you just build up with rope, you can immediately get started on constructing a massive base that's more than enough to house every crafting station you'll ever encounter in the game. It's as great for builders in the early game as the Rubblemaker is for the late game.
I like using the sickle on a multiplayer server with build protection since it replaces the grass instantly and actually drops hay upon breaking the grass
Meaning infinite blocks

The sickle is the only one that I used here. Tho I do remember finding a sand castle bucket.
One of these items should be able to make a wooden log. If you accidentally destroyed the fairy's home, they won't spawn easily. I just find this unfortunate.
I often break the ground around them since in hardmode the corruption can break them.
Meh, fairies aren't all that useful unless you destroy every single chest you come across
I'm trying to finish the bestiary list to get the universal pylon. 1.392% chance a fairy will spawn when shaking trees in the hallow. I made a video about it. No way to create wooden logs. Once destroyed it is gone forever.
I've been using the shovel for a few days. It's pretty good, but I accidentally dug up the entire ocean biome.
I love the sickle, it's my go to early early game Mele wepon!

I only used the sickle to make test dummies to check how much dps and how many times a weapon pierces
I usually buy the sickle as an early upgrade to a wooden sword along with cheap&affordable housing. as for the gravedigger shovel, gotta have one when getting haunted by all the gameplay mistakes i've made.
I have used all of these items and feel incredibly heard right now.
Before there was a menu option for autoswing for all weapons, I used the sickle as a weapon a lot early game to save on clicking.
The Shovel not following smart cursor is the only reason I stop using it around hardmode
The only problem with the sickle is that generally by just playing the game you already accumulate 8582901 tiles
i remember doing a playthrough for about (6 months) with my uncle (it was his first), we used the grave diggers shovel obsessively. we recently beat moonlord then migrated to calamity to be stupid and see what we could do. we are still doing that one
bro havent even remind of stick which multiplies amount of seeds and herbs from collecting unique plants
Gravedigger + Martian laser mount is the fastest way eay to find the Dirtiest Block. Very underrated imo.

As a novice builder, I don't often use these, but they're all a must in any world. Except the sickle. I love making a hay roof for my wood houses, so that one gets probably as much use as my axe.
As obscure as the gravedigger is it keeps me going in the zenith seed

The Gravedigger's Shovel is easily my favorite tool in the game. It's rare for me to not always keep it in either my direct inventory or Money Trough.
I almost lost a world because of the rubblemaker, I didn't have some texture for some reason (even after verifying game files) and anytime I would load it in my game would crash. Luckily I didn't place it at spawn but it was quite close. I had a friend join the world and safely remove it.

The gravediggers shovel is one of the if not the best way to get early game money prehard mode. You can harvest up the entire desert and make the sand into glass then the glass into stained glass and sell it.

You can mine rubble to get bait like worms or grubbys depending on the biome in the jungle there are 3 different types of bait in the rubble but in forest there are 2

I would 100% use the sickle if:
a. I wasn't maining the class that has no use for the training dummy.
b. It was possible to put 2 items into one item frame.
I actually use the Sickle, I like having the Training Dummies to test my DPS.
They need gravestones to be craftable so you can make a graveyard in a hardcore world.
Doesn't npcs drop graves in hardcore?
I use sickle a lot in get fixed boi, due to the hay might be the easiest block to get.
Build some houses? Hay.
Arena? Hay
Prevent traps activate or lava drowning? Still hay.
Wonderful tools for a world that almost every single block tries really hard to kill you.

I have an intense hatred for the sandcastle bucket. It keeps clogging up my inventory when I go ocean fishing. Yes, I'm one of the weirdos who does a lot of fishing.
