I had a chance to make comparison of same models. To my mind, if you like "club" music or hip-hop or dance, JBL is your choice. Other types of music - Samsung. What I don't like in JBL - any music becomes too bassy, too exagerrated. It hooks, but it is not supposed to sound like that. From the other side, Samsung is more accurate, and muuuuch more rich in freq. range and precise in details. It is not dull, it sounds accurate) So, take JBL to dance, take Samsung to enjoy music.

this goes for the pb1000, club and dance music sounds awesome but literally everything else sounds like 💩 because of the lack of mids and too much bass

the 310s sound great for every single genre ever especially on speaker stands, for club music it sounds better on the floor tho

I have the 110, it's perfect for all type of music trust me, it's all about the EQ settings, JBL can sound better in any genre if you have the right EQ, on the other hand Samsung is good for the price.

@Sickened-CZcams the 1000 is simply a bit too bassy, but that's in the deep bass region, so it doesn't sound bad at all; and I can assure you that every musical genre sounds pretty good with ofc edm and electronic music in general sounding awesome

Great video review with the sound comparison of both systems! The JBL definitely has more oomph, but then again the equalizer modes and bass boost levels on these are completely different, so it would be a little more fair to find a setting and volume where they both sound similar, and then compare the sound from the different angles/positions in the room. Also, dpending on the brand and even same brand but different models, the volume steps and level ratio is different; i.e. in some models, the volume increase is significantly higher in the lower steps (e.g. from volume level 2 through level 7 in a 10-step model) and in others it will be more noticeable in the higher steps (e.g. from volume level 3 through level 5 in a 5-step model, or from volume level 14 to 20 in a 20-step model). Anyway, thank you for the great video and thorough review! One thing I dislike about these two is that they ditched the freaking screen, so if you're playing music from a USB flash drive you have no idea of the song title/number or the folder you're in; it looks like manufacturers don't bother about screens anymore because most people will be streaming via bluetooth from their phones/tablets/computers, but I would really love to have a screen

If you want something louder, go with the Soundboks Go. If you want something with a fuller low end, get the Partybox 110. I would say if you were going to mainly use a speaker indoors, get the 110. Mostly outdoors, get the Go.
