  • despite under 1000km the rear tyre was punctured in an unrepairable way this will be followed up with a blog post with the details soon, but this serves to show the following things:
    1) what tools you'll need
    2) the cable tie method you'll need to fit the new tyre on this
    3) the benefits of slime (because if nothing else it got me home
    4) and not least: how fucking pathetic the standard tyre is for longevity.

Hello 👋 there from US I just ordered this I couldn't wait! I'm going to used this for work to save me gas money 💰. I REALLY love the design looks like Weped scooter but much affordable the weped scooter costing $3,000 to $8,000 i just couldn't afford that. This is better deal plus it's big perfect for bigger folks 👌.

      Hi
      my blog has actual details:
      cjeastwd.blogspot.com/2020/04/range-testing-got-me-thinking.html
      and
      cjeastwd.blogspot.com/2020/06/afternoon-of-dirt-roads.html
I sort of regard CZcams as just video hosting to compliment the blog posts ... I suspect however that the links I put in the descriptions don't show on mobile devices (phones)

lends credence to why I was against pneumatic tyres from the get go

It's a shame you still have several hundred kilometres of tread left on that tire.

I got about 1000km out of mine too. Found an easier way to change tires but haven't made a video on it yet. Easier still means lots of swearing.

Its done just under 900km, with some dirt roads too

      Basic explanation welcome :-)

@@finophile The trick is to push the tire over center perpendicularly to the hub when mounting it. Then work each side evenly 90 degrees. The catch was I had to pull the shaft out and take the brake disc off just in case I bent anything by accident. Having a proper homemade holder for the removed hub assembly helps a lot so things don't just flop around.

so like the wheel is Saturn and the tyre the rings?

@@finophile Yes but wheel and tire are not concentric but rather perpendicular to start and then levered into concentric.

if you aren't a handy sort of person with some tools its simply not possible.
This harks back to why when I bought my WideWheel that I had as my #1 criteria >> No pneumatic tyres
