2:44 Kennywood should revive it's resort hotel idea and build one just outside of the park. They could call it "Trolley Station Inn" to go with Kennywood's history as a trolley park.

IMO, the park looks as good as I have ever seen it. They have taken a lot of care refurbing rides and putting a fresh coat of paint on everything.
You hit all the reasons why Kennywood is so great and so unique. I've never managed to make it for the pierogi festival, but someday! A trip to Kennywood is a great way to spend the day after the Drive-In Super Monster-Rama classic horror movie festival at the Riverside Drive-In.
It's amazing how low-tech vintage rides like the Kangaroo and the Whip can give you so much whee for your money.

Kennywood is an amazing Park I'm proud to say is my home Park! I love the park and it is a truey incredible one that is truly unique! One thing you didn't mention is there critically acclaimed Beloved popular events Phantom Fall Fest/ Phantom Fright Nights as it used to be called, and Holiday Lights!

Absolutely! I grew up right behind kennywood mall! Walked there a couple times a week! It was never meant to be in competition with big parks, it was for locals by local owners! I was lucky enough to enjoy the pool! New owners r messing with our park! Making prices more high and then this year wanting to close on Tuesday! Luckily push back stopped it

Going this weeeekknneeddd, Ive lived in pa for years and have gone so many times throughout my childhoood
Lived here my whole life millvale originally, now Munhall which is right in between kennywood and sandcastle so we def got the platinum passes this year. Will admit haven’t been to kennywood since I was a teenager and I’m 31 now. Super excited to go back this year for 2024. 🎉

As someone who lives 15 minutes away from this park i always thought it was a meh park. I'Ve been to a lot of other amusement parks. Parks that have a lot more crazier rides and coasters. I always loved Kennywood but i thought i was just a homer. Its good to see other people appreciate it. Its not a park with the craziest thrills, but its always good visit. Loved the video. When I said meh park, I feel like other people would think it was meh.
Truth be told if you're comparing it to Major theme parks then you'll be a bit sad.
Considering it's been around for such a long time and it's more of a Local park than it something like a Six flag/Cedar Point etc.
It's a good day trip, not crazy expensive and considering the city is so close and it doesn't feel packed or over priced compared other big time parks where you can barely breath with the amount of people in the park and wait times pushing 2-3 hours in some cases, their prices don't justify most of the stuff.
I live 10 min down the road from kennywood so I go multiple times a year I love kennywood
Im going to pittsburgh on the 8th or 9th to see the steelers home opener then im planning to go to Kennywood ive been to pittsburgh almost half a dozen times and never went to Kennywood

Roque BBQ is my new go too. Brisket nachos are always fresh and tasty. U didn't mention the bites and pints they offer early in the summer. Love the recent updates and changes to the park .
I live 12 minutes away from kennywood and the first hotel you showed is 2 minutes away from my house 😅

One thing that you forgot is that Thunderbolt requires you to have a partner to ride it. If you do not have a partner tell the operator and they will try to find one for you or if need be, one will ride with you.
They still have yet to bring back the Trunpike...

We are going to Kennywood tomorrow (Aug 27) and it’s been over 20 years since I’ve been there so this video was helpful. I do wish that they had a drink plan and a dining plan either a daily plan or a dining and/or drink plan to add onto your season pass.
