Ill give ya a hint about laying on those rocks, Kurt. Get you a foam pool floaty mat to lay on .. us old folks dont appreciate rocks poking us in wrong spots..😅😅
So thankful my kids brought me a battery operated grease gun. I guess they got tired of hearing dear old dad say his hands hurt after greasing the truck. It's a life saver.
I'd never go back to a manual or pneumatic gun. I have a Milwaukee m18 and I love it. It's a must have. I want a 1" milwaukee battery impact gun. But I just can't spend that 1200.00 on it. I seen one in action and it works. So efficient.
Poor Opie. Hope he feels better after the adjustment. Thinking he will be anxious with you gone. Watch out for weirdos in the dark Opie had your back. He's a good boy.
Looking forward to the camping videos. This past September we camped right on Lake Superior at the Porcupine Mountains. The lake was angry. Absolutely awesome! You need to see it!
Kurt, I noticed in the last video, "Opie's girlfriend", that you need a deckplate there behind your sleeper! It'll give you something to lay your gladhands on!...🤔👍
Shopping list for Uber dads man cave: 1. Air compressor, plus 50 ft. of hose (for starters) 2. Pneumatic grease gun 3. Case of grease cartridges 4. 1/2 sheet of plywood/particle board, 4ft X 4ft for ease of handling, enamel paint optional 5. Tire air chuck with gauge Happy shopping!! Stay safe.
Good list, but I'd suggest a battery operated cordless grease gun instead of the pneumatic. Got one on the farm for fall harvest, so much easier to carry around than fighting with the air hose. It's also a lot easier to take out to the field if needed.
@@CheeseheadMedia how do you justify to the Warden for getting a compressor if you get a cordless grease gun? Too many years pulling this kind of stuff, LOL!
I think a Milwaukee battery powered grease gun needs to be on the list. Milwaukee has been furnishing some CZcamsrs power tools when they promote them on videos. With subscribers nearing 50K it would be a no brained!
Hey SCHIMDT. You you know that 🐕🦺 will see that 🚛 is gone and he's not in it. But a decision had to made for the best of his life. 🐕🦺 Will be looking 🪟 until he hear an 🚛 👀 and you. B SAFE Mr SCHIMDT 🚛💨💨💨💨
Hey Kurt if ya ever need another companion while Opie is on a personal day or Dr's appt we have a 155lb German Rottweiler that'd keep ya company. Just kidding he doesn't socialize. Be SAFE and keep the freight moving Sir.🇺🇸👍🇺🇸🙏
Let Opie make a few more memories with his dad. Cherish those things with the hound dog. Besides our kids our fur kids are the greatest gifts God could bless us with.
Really wish you had given the warning about truck stop eggs at the beginning of the video when I started eating truck stop eggs.... lol. Stay safe out there!
Hey Kurt, you're keeping me sane tonight especially with the stupidity going on up in Lewiston, Maine. My hearts goes out to the victims, but I just can't watch that stuff with my PTSD. Thanks for the video.
@@drock7601I'm in Saint John, New Brunswick, last word we got was that all the border crossings into Canada are on alert , they said the guy is an Army Reservist, so he knows how to survive in the bush, hope they get him soon. Take care of your self and your family, but don't play the hero, let the police do that.
I'm an 85 year old recent subscriber, love your videos especially the way you manage the trucking life. That mention of 4-1/2 inches of rain grabbed my attention because early this morning the rains came to Norfolk NE. The guage measured 4 inches but I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut there likely was closer to 5 inches. Thanks for the ride, be well and safe.
Love is never an excuse Kurt. The german doesnt know how to spell quit so he doest quit ... until you bench him like this out of love for his well being as your shadow. He might not understand that but the relief you will feel from him on the other side of the forced vacation will prove your decision out, guaranteed.
Great video. So true the wait is exhausting in of itself as well. Don’t eat truck stop eggs. Talking about poop again 🤣. Anything like gas station sushi? Ok now WHO is it that has separation anxiety? Be honest… saw it in your eyes right off. Bet ya thought about cheeseburgers a lot too. It’s okay I cry like a baby when separated from my furry baby.
I had the guys come to a seasonal furnace check on Monday. It was cold enough that I decided to bite the bullet and finally turn on the eat. Dang if the next day I had to turn on the A/C, it was so warm. Iowa.
Since I started giving my Australian border collie 9 years old a baby aspirin daily noticeable improvement in her stiffness aches and getting up n down stairs after a hard day outside work playing. Vet said 100 mg but wanted to start low mg. Rear leg stiffness I’m sure some aches like me. Never heard of chiropractic for dogs.
When I started this Video, there were O views, by the time I finished there were more then 1,300 views and since I am such A fast commenter there were more the 1,400 views by the time I finished my comment. I think that is impressive.👍
Opie won’t be pleased staying at home but we sometimes have to do the tough love thing. One thing I liked about the oil patch is we got paid for waiting and by we I meant both. The truck and me. Never heard of a bone popper for dogs. Makes sense they do horses too. Y’all havagudun and stay safe. God Bless.
I've been thru Mapleton hundreds of times taking oroduct from Tysons in Waterloo to Souix City, Nebraska. It use to get et down right ugly in old Hwy 20 in the winter. Use to stop at QuikStar in Parkersburg before heading ro Waterloo. Rhen the tornado wiped out Parkersburg.
No how you feel Kurt. Used to run Reefer between Cairns and Melbourne Australia, back in the eighties. Have lyms disease so have been on the side line for over 30yrs. But that waiting after every load was the biggest killer. You"d only end up just getting out of town by a few miles, and you’d be history. Love the videos mate especially behind the wheel ones, and even more when you're talking. Have a safe one mate, cheers, John.
I think you ought to try Loctite on them brackets on your grill don't know if you tried that or not but it seems to work on a lot of things that I used it on
I feel your frustration - trouble is hauling that type of load will always mean you are going to have to contend with this. With your rig you could move over to specialist transport - no timed deliveries to supermarket distribution warehouses with their own rules and time keeping. Hauling chicken livers with a 650hp unit is costing you dollars?
Good morning Kurt thanks for the video now I can get my day started.I seen Tim Gentry hauling a refer trailer and had 2 pallets of beef left on his trailer due to the company refused saying that the pallets were overage so he hauled it back home and now the company and broker said that they wanted them back my question too you is do you think that the pallets are still good to put on the shelves at the stores after the pallets sat on the trailer with doors open then in his shop for an hour or two then reloaded to take back to Alabama from Tennessee?Well sorry Opie the German couldn't make the trip so until the next one be careful and I am fixing to go west to hop on a train up to Anchorage up through the nw and down the west cost in December
You been to this same location so much I googled it and sure enough google’s pictures show the same sites. One of your comments asked what the retaining wall was for. Looks like there’s a river behind it.
How often do you buy, change or rotate the tires on your truck? How confident are you that the trailers you pull, either empty or full are of good quality? Just wonderin'. Hope the OP man is better soon., OBVIOUSLY....he's been in recent videos!
How do you keep the grass from growing up in your rocks next to your garage? I always keep the doors on my empty box trailer locked. The locked doors helps keep individuals from leaving their trash in my trailer while I'm on my break. Yes, it really happens on the road. Safe travels.
Get an electric grease gun. I got one made by Rigid cause I already have the batteries and other tools. Works like a charm. You'll never hand pump again. Paid about 150.00 dollars.
It's just not the same without the little Fur ball laying on the couch!! hope he feels better

I was even a bit sad no opie. Saw the empty bed was like where’s opie?! Hope he’s ok.
I have coworkers who buy the quik-e-mart eggs, our office suffers all day!
Kurt you really need one of the battery operated grease guns to where you haven't got to pump pump pump pump pump pump so much
Hopefully Opie will be better and then can make the next trip with you❤

My dad always told me, that if you want something done right..? Do it yourself. ✌🏾
That’s what they USED TO SAY, now a days it is “ if you want it done, do it yourself!”
You need a carpet or plastic mat for when you are working underneath First Class Kurt and I hope Opie went on well at the Chairopractice Kurt
Kurt, I noticed in the last video, "Opie's girlfriend", that you need a deckplate there behind your sleeper!
It'll give you something to lay your gladhands on!...🤔👍
Had that tonight. 4.5 hours between a train and getting loaded in Hastings. Called it a night at Trenton at about 11

LOL "Truckstop eggs." I guess that is like 'TruckStop sushi?' That was hilarious. Best to Opie, Safe travels Best regards, chuck.
S**t happens.i always rolled my windows up when passing, meeting or being passed by a cow hauler.
Safe travels! I’m sure you’ll be happier having Opie back in the truck too, hope he’s rested

You are right about the grease job. I now grease every 10,000 miles, and great kids now do it. Did you leave the TV remote for Opie? Stay safe
Poor Opie 😒 I’ll bet he’ll feel much better after getting some rest 💕 Safe travels home and give the beloved German a big hug 🤗🐾
Scales work, just the display is out.. ask the guard to bring it up on the computer and we'll get it printed out for ya

Hahaha "why would you buy eggs from a truck stop"??? Haha good question 🤣 I've been guilty of doing that a time or 2
Mr. Schmidt I hope Opie feels better and get well soon, love your videos sir, be safe and careful out there. Michael from Mississippi.
Thank you

Get well soon
