  • Reinforcement: How to Install Beam Reinforcement | Steel Reinforcement Detailing of Beam needs some particular experience. How to do Steel Reinforcement Detailing is the main content of this video. The people who need this kind of experience should be the contractor and the site engineer, so it is not enough to know how to design or draw Reinforcement Steel of a Beam but also to have the experience of how this Reinforcement Steel (bottom bars, middle bars, top bars, stirrups) will be installed in the Beam. For More details watch this video till the end………… "Let’s Learn Something“.

    one error considering theory...stirrups placed at the ends should have been placed with hooks at the beam bottom...at ends hogging moment exist so tension will on top side of beam...so it might be better to place stirrup hooks in compression zone ie beam bottom. In the center portion stirrups are correctly placed since tension is at beam bottom.

    Sir, I wish to extend the Chajja. In this regard, I wish to clarify myself on the following points : 1) My house is a strong construction of 30 year old, at Mysore, Karnataka. 2) The house is built on 30*40 site. 3) There's a Chajja of 28 feet length and 2 feet width and this Chajja has been drawn from the lintel beam to the outside of the wall. 4) I wish to extend this Chajja by 3 feet of width towards compound, so that it becomes a Chajja of 28 feet length and 5 feet width. 5) To do this, I wish to erect 4 circular columns. Is it OK if I erect 4 columns of each column having 12mm TMT bars of 5 numbers? 6) What should be the size of beam? 7) Is it OK if I loop the old TMT bars of Chajja with new TMT bars of 10 mm as the old bars are of 10 mm by welding? 8) The thickness of the present 2 feet Chajja is 5 inches. 9) How should slab be designed for reinforcement?

    Question: (high rise structures) on my site a beam size is 600mm * 230mm is in a sher wall, the steel in beam is 32 dia and the development length is 42 d. When I placed this beam the top steel ld is more than the length of the length and no space in the sher wall to adjust the ld. in this situation i think the top steel bars ld is keep in the upward vertical direction without compromise the development length. it is right or worng plz explain in detail.

      @BikashUrbanKing Před 6 lety

      Sanjeev karki it is really very important to cure or water the concrete from the very next day of construction. Curing provides 50 to 60% extra strength to the newly built concrete. Curing should be Done regularly for the initial 14 to 15 days......and if possible you can continue for 28 days......

    Please suggest me

    • @BikashUrbanKing
      @BikashUrbanKing Před 6 lety

      Vikrant Jaswal it depends on the number of floors you will be constructing....seeing your column size i.e 9x9 it cannot hold more than 3 floors .....so my suggestion is three,16mm bars at the bottom and 2, 12 mm bars at the top of the beam...... provide extra support bars of 16mm at the top beam........ your combination is too high and it is unnecessary on your column size......

    • @danfardz189
      @danfardz189 Před 5 lety +3

      Actually in continuous beam, you can have rebar lapping at midspan of beam but only for TOP BARS. (bottom bars should be continuous or at least at the column-beam junction, which protects the beam from the bending moment)
