Not only do you support an American tire company and it’s workers, you also support the truck drivers that get them where they need to be,I’ve hauled more loads of coopers then I could count, and we appreciate American patriots like you sir, thank you🤠

Great review. I picked these for our pastor's pickup truck and they were superb in the dry, wet and wintery Indiana driving conditions on his 2-wheel-drive.

The tires are FANTASTIC. They won't work quite as good in mud as hyrbid or mud but everything else is REALLY stellar. They hit the limit for me at about 6.5 inches deep of mud. Up to that point they're great. I still got out, but that was the crawl limit. There's a great recent ideo on my channel if you're curious.
These REALLY grab and handle on the road like a passenger tire or performance tire.

I do a fair amount of off road, I never know when I'm heading for the bush. So whatever tire I have on the Bronco, they need to be able to get me there and back. Even the Cooper ATP I use for everyday summer driving can handles most conditions off road save mud and wet grass. They load up fast and turn to slicks. The STTs I have are an AWESOME fully dedicated off road tire. I also have Cooper's M&S winter tires that do very well in the snow and ice here in the North East, but only for cold winter conditions. Otherwise they wear to fast. From everything I've seen and heard, my next set of Coopers to replace the M&S winter tires, will be the AT3 XLT. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Cooper AT3 XLT.

Running these on my 17 Super Duty currently and more than pleased. OWL since my truck is white...and I'm a bit old-schoolish. I originally assumed these to be a bit better towing a 5th wheel, and I'm not let down at all. Great on the highway, quiet, and pulled me out of a very muddy and rough boondocking situation in Flagstaff AZ while towing- walked right out effortlessly- I was ready to call for a tow and became a bigger fan afterward. Capable, nice looking as well. Will stick to this replacement when it's time.

My stock Michelens on my F350 Lariat are horrible pulling my TT when its wet. If I'm at a stop, and go to take off, they break traction badly. Also, at some of these campgrounds, especially state parks are gravel type parking for your travel trailer, and if I'm in the grass pushing my TT back into its spot, the Michelens are horrible too. I've had to put it in 4 wheel drive to dock the trailer

lol, dude, I ordered 4 brand spankin' new Cooper Discoverer A/T tires (not AT3 mind you) last year on Sept. 27, 2021 from eBay for $253.10. 235/75R15 size. They're made in USA and have lasted just fine for me since then. I didn't drive hardly at all during the Winter, though. My job ended for the season in mid-October and started back up in April and was slow until June, where I've been driving quite a lot every day with them. When I bought them, I was looking at Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunners, which I still really like the look of and saw the 2 sets of 2 Coopers for the insanely good deals and snatched them up. One set was $131.10 and the second set was $122. I had to check my eBay purchase history to remind myself. Oh yeah, the manufacturing DOT code date showed they were made very recently at their factory not long before I made the purchase.

There is always a trade off... Those connections you mention for lower noise mean that without them this tire profile would do better in hydroplaning than it is with them.

I had to use the rear lo king diff to lock the rear tires on deeper snow sections (8 inches) to keep thr rear from swinging and keeping it straight. But never got stuck in snow yet. No tires will get traction on ice unless you have studs or chains. I've had some slippage whe the snow pile got mashed and froze overnight into ice. But I got moving slowly until I was off thr ice patch.

Cooper Tire actually sourced out to China, India and Bulgaria(and God knows where else?). So before you buy make sure Your tire was made in the USA.

@@tonyp2632 me too, I’m starting to lean towards the toyo open country at3’s. I need a tire to get thru mud🤣 the at3 XLT from cooper are great tires, but they aren’t so great in mud from what I’ve gathered from research

At 7:48 you say those little bars of rubber are noise blockers, there actually tread wear indicators. When the tread gets to that depth you need to think about replacing them in about 5 k Mi.

Hi there. Thank you for the comments. Actually those are the noise blockers. The tread depth indicators are always between the tire runs. At the 8:30 mark you can see them pretty well when I’m talking about the “stair step” of the tread blocks. Usually the tread wear indicators are only placed every 6-10 inches around the tire and they are more near the middle of the tire tread. Thank you.
