Golden Girls has to be one of the best shows ever and could not have casted the show any better. To this day its a show that I can watch over and over again and not get tired of it

What I found so interesting about this interview with Diane Sawyer is the fact that, despite the difficulties they had between each other particularly with Bea Arthur, you never heard that come across. Rue and Betty were always positive in their comments about her, never once bad-mouthing her in any way; the true definition of what it means to have grace, dignity and self-respect.
Well, even if actresses might not got along on sad or had their problems, they don’t mean they had issues with each other. I mean they don’t mean that they were bad people like I think she was still a good person and that’s probably why they didn’t have any bad things to say about her because she was a good human being. Don’t get along that happens but I don’t mean they hated each other. Yeah, they probably still cared about each other in the last stuff to.
It's crazy Bea, rue, and Estelle, and Betty were all born around the exact same time and everyone besides Betty all died a year apart. One in 2008, one in 09 and the other in '10.
The Golden girls song is my ring tone and when I get a call which isn't often.. it always makes me smile and anyone else close enough to hear it. I miss TV from the 80s. I wasn't around in the 70s but I watch re runs of All in the family, Threes Company, Sanford and son etc and it makes me feel happy.
I’m so glad to remember seeing this show first run on television. Back then, the greatest shows were on TV, such as Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey, reruns of Greatest American Hero, 227, Amen, Gimme a Break, Sledgehammer...and the Golden Girls. I adored Bea Arthur. She was a gem 💎. “Like” if you’re Generation X!
Ms Arthur was private and dignified, Ms White was also a very private lady who appeared to be very extroverted. Ms Clahann is perhaps the most open of the three, but again she appeared extroverted, but showed only so much. I miss them. They all had class, and Ms Getty who never gets mentioned, gave the Golden Girls it's connectiveness and the ground they all walked on. Now that all of them are gone, we knew a little but now we know the fill extent of how much they gave us the public.
Rue was the only one who acted with both Bea and Betty on other shows before all coming together on The Golden Girls. Rue and Bea on "Maude", and Rue and Betty on "Mama's Family."
Absolutely love that haircut/hairstyle on Ms. Bea in the thumbnail. Very becoming to her face and bone structure! Lovely ❤. RIP Ms. Bea. You brought my mom and I so much laughter! 🙏🏿

Diane Sawyer tried twice to get Rue to do an imitation of Bea's voice (which, to be fair, Rue was very good at doing). Rue didn't seem to understand the request, because she gave replies that completely avoided Diane's request. I'm glad. Doing an imitation of "a friend" who had only been dead a few days, and on national TV, would have been terribly inappropriate.

These celebrities who die at 86 or any number past 80 should be appalled 👏👏 because they got to live life to the total fullest. We should admire them, not many people live past the age of 80. It's one of lives most greatest achievements. It's obviously sad but I'm so happy she lived this long and didn't pass away in the years of golden girls when people her age then did die.
Bea Arthur did a "one man show" in South Africa a number of years ago. It was a show I will never forget, one of the best I have ever seen. Just listening to her telling her life story... fascinating. What an amazing, interesting woman, and what a privilege to see her live.
Now Betty White is the only one that's alive. Once she's gone heaven will have the golden girls show on in heaven. RIP Estelle Getty Bre Arthur and Rue McClanahan. And for Betty White keep living life to the fullest.
