Who knows maybe Koreans are in awe during that time, although there's some comments/opinions based on their observations that Koreans are patron of their own K-pop music. Well, there's nothing bad about them enjoying their own music, but it would've been great if they explore other kind of genre and music in other countries so they could improve and develop their music industry. Just saying.
I hope they'll (koreans and other commenters) not take this comment in a bad light. I only want the best. Music is like a language of our feelings, our emotion and well-being. The more we open up our soul- our feelings to other through this platform, the more we convey our message.

RoRo Leo they are. But they appreciate international FAMOUS singers. Even though most of them don't understand what's the meaning of the song 😯.. Also KPop invasion is happening in our country. Teenagers go : 'KYAAA! KYAAA!' when the topic is all about Kpop. No offense to all KPop fans though .. We have different taste in music.
Maybe the Korean dont understand english song that why no reaction at all, take a look at the song festival 2018, morissette sing resignation with mixing Korean song at the end, the Korean people is shouting ang clapping, they don't understand english.

That is exactly what I noticed about Morisette. Even though she's already belting out, she didn't sound as though she was yelling unlike most singers. She still always sounded firm and full and her highest notes do not hurt my ears at all!

I'm currently living in south korea and they're like super clueless about everything western, they don't speak english and there's only one person among my work mates knows an english song: youre my everything by linda creed and thom bell - a very archaic song that my mama doesn't even know about. Amazing performance but that crowd has been repeatedly pointed out to how disconnected they were. Not sure if the Korean crowd just wasn’t feeling the performance. Or, I hope this isn’t the case, that they were disconnected because Morissette is Filipino.

I think the mostly Korean audience reaction to Morrissette is like how you describe it, 'bored' or don't care--because they have their own pride--a Korean female singer named, *Sohyang*, who is also dubbed as the Korean Mariah Carey. I hope you could also give your analysis/reaction about her. I'm not a fan of her even if I've heard some of her performances in CZcams, it's just that I could hear that something is not just right for my discriminating taste. Hehehe.
