I really think season one is the very best. It's hard to describe. It has a pace to it, that the others seasons do not seem to have.
I always think how Mike used this 146 other ways speech, from Harvey, when he was faced with Frank Gallo wanting to attack him on his second night in prison.

Add Jessica to your list of Scottie. She pays him. But you can make the arguement that she puts up with him because she invested in him.
And in all fairness, Donna had no idea at this point he's paying in most of her salary personally, and it's only ever implied that he pays Mike's bonuses out of his own pocket or paychecks, never explicitly stated.
