    Although Pattaya and Jomtien is only 5KM apart, the two must visit destination in Thailand, could not be more different.
    Pattaya has some of the best nightlife in the country, alongside restaurants, shopping malls and bars everywhere. It is heavily commercialised into a tourusts destination.
    Jomtien on the other hand, is much more relaxed and quiet, with many tourists sunbathing, and relaxing on beach chairs. I love the restaurants and cafes in this area, as it is so close to the beach. The views are amazing.

    Good vlog, Jomtien for living and Pattaya for partying/shopping.
    The only thing you left out was Dongtan beach almost an extension of Jomtien beach down to Pratumnak, both together a 10k walk.👍

      Hi Barry, thanks. I definitely want to check out Dongtan beach and the wong amat beach. Both beaches seems quieter

      @@Thailandto1 Hi. Big dilemma. At the moment I've booked a hotel in central Pattaya on the basis I can walk most places. I like the thought of Jomtien, quieter, nice beach, but I can have 'days out' from Pattaya where if I was staying there I would have to get a Baht Bus almost everyday both ways. That's my logic anyway 😀

      @Thailandto1  Před rokem +1

      @@woodka04 If Jomtien is a bit too far, the Wong Amat beach near northern Pattaya is a good choice too. I have never been there but my friends says it is quieter and quite beautiful too

    Jomtien / Dontan beach are better but the Food in Pattaya is much better. We are not beach people so our choice is Pattaya .......... Soi Buakhao

    • @Thailandto1
      @Thailandto1  Před rokem +1

      ah yes in terms of restaurants and nightlife Pattaya wins hands down, but a little bit too noisy all day for me, resting in Jomtien and then heading down Pattaya for the action is a great balance

      @@Thailandto1 But when you go from Jomtien with bathbus to Pattaya you land in traffic jam and thats what i hate. Then better resting in a resort in Naklua, no traffic jam to Pattaya. I have no problem with the noise in the city, stay somewhere in a back soi.

    Is it safe to come back with bolt from Jomtien night market to northern Pattaya? Which seafood buffet restaurant would you recommend in Jomtien or Pattaya?
