Im happy with that amount per month for AVR. Cause due to power surge you can already start saving money for new motherboard. And that's way more expensive.
your point is absolutely correct, I just forgot to explain clearly that these devices should be turn off or pull off from the power outlets when not use and better use a power adapter with switch to easily cut them off instead of pulling them.

i'll rather pay that bill vs forever break my sensitive electronic equipment that cost x100 to x1000 more than that being used to work and supply Internet sa mga kapitbahay. nasiraan na ako ng mga ilang charger ng CP 10w to 33w chargers at adapter ng router/modem/fiber and modems and routers dahil sa pa biglabiglaang fluctuation ng kuryente d2 sa mindanao. still using the old servo type na AVR that was bought in 1991, its still working at ginagamit namin sa smart TV, home, sound bar and setup box.

I have UPS techserv 1000VA po sir napanood ko sa isang video nyo, I have ps4 pro and 4k TV po safe po ba na iunplug din yung UPS pag tapos gamitin then after ilang hours pag trip ulit maglaro plu-plug in po ulit? Or better to plug it all day then unplug po sa gabi?
@@rotunjher671 for me it's better to unplug them pag hindi na po ginagamit dahil sayang din yung konsumo ng kuryente. yung mga battery naman po ng UPS ay nag chacharge din naman habang ito ay ginagamit, mas hahaba pa po buhay ng battery dahil mas malamig ang mga condition nito pag naka unplug.
just to add up lang, bilhan nyo nalang ng power switch adapter yung UPS nyo tulad ng nasa video ko para hindi nyo na po binubunot, 1 click nalang.

@@marzelundali5042 kung madalas po ang brownout ang ma-advice ko lang po ay mag lagay nalang kayo ng AVR na may power delay para maiwasan ang electric spike or surge sa pag balik ng kuryente after brownout.

I am also using 2kW UPSs for electronics. These UPSs run really hot, which means they waste a lot of electricity.
I am now experimenting with low voltage UPSs (called mini UPS on Lazada) behind a proper AVR and will see if that is a solution for small consumers such as network devices and other always-on consumers.
I thought it is not advisable to plug ups in an avr. If i recall it correctly it says on the manual.

Salamat sa Video na ito totoo talaga malakas kumain ng kuryente ang UPS. Sana may video kayo na alternatibo para maisawan ito at gumamit na lang ng ibang device kagaya ng Surge Protector at AVR. May bago ngayon AVR na may Surge Protector. UPS is the worst device I'd ever owned.
If you bought UPS for the purpose of power surge protection only then you have purchased the wrong product and should’ve opt for an AVR.
If you know what UPSs purpose is you shouldn’t have regretted having one

May UPS din ako nabili brand new tapos may power meter din ako. Ganyan din ginawa ko nasa ganyang range ng watts din. Do pinapalitan ko ng ibang brand. Ayun nung ibang brand na kapag naka off or walang nakasaksak sa UPS, nasa 1w to 2w na lang reading nya. CyberPower yung pinalit ko na UPS. I forgot sno yung brand na isa.

Although it does make sense na i-unplug yun UPS pag hindi ginagamit to save on electricity but I think the drawback is bababa ang lifespan ng battery. From what I understand every battery has a self discharge rate. That means na kahit hindi naka-plug o hindi ginagamit ang baterya gradual ang bagsak ng voltage. Yun constant energy draw ng UPS kahit fully charged at hindi ginagamit ang tawag ay Float charge. It's a way for the UPS to have a constant voltage para ready siya into action pag nawala yun main supply. Bakit kailangan palagi maintained fully charged ang UPS? I think it's because most use what they call "standby use" battery which has a greater number of thin cell plates to create a maximum output. Yun nga lang this type of battery does not like repetitive discharges kaya the quicker you can save your work and shut down your PC the better para hindi mabilis ang discharge ng battery before the main supply comes back to recharge the battery again. Kaya by unplugging the UPS when not in use you are introducing unnecessary discharge sa battery. Repetitive discharge will cause a breakdown of the electrodes, hence failure of the battery. So I guess it's a question of do you want to pay for the extra electricity usage to protect the lifespan of your battery or decrease the battery's life to save on the monthly bills?
PS - For car guys alam niyo hindi maganda sa lifespan ng baterya ng sasakyan pag naddiskarga palagi kaya may alternator para laging kargado ang baterya. Both a UPS and a cars battery use LED acid battery.

Outlet > panther surge > 2ups SECURE & AWP > wfh setup sa SECURE then main setup sa AWP
Ito po situation / ginagawa ko po ngayon:
Yng sa WFH setup hindi po loaded since browser lng tsaka webcalls etc..
Then sa main setup naman po is mostly gaming / movie pero di ako nag he-heavy load sa main unit pag may trabaho

tama po yang set up nyo and tama din po yung practice nyo na naka cut sa main power source ang mga UPS pag di ginagamit, mas tatagal pa po ang mga battery nyo dahil kahit hindi po ito ginagamit ay nag memaintain ito ng kaunting init which decreases the lifespan of the battery.

t's hard to use UPS because of maintenance and it costs. The following problem of using UPS 1) when should I replace the battery if its empty? 2) How do i know if the battery is empty? 3) You have to recharge ( there is already a problem when and how to recharge ) and replace ( what to replace the whole unit of UPS or the battery?) ..Using a UPS is complicated and it need attention for maintenance. While using an AVR ..no problem, no need for maintenance to recharge just plug it and play.. no headache .
even a single led na 12 volts consumes electricity, kaya walang problema diyan basta patayin lang ang avr kapag di ginagamit

No, an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) with a rated capacity of 1000 watts does not necessarily consume 1000 watts of power when it is powering appliances or a PC that requires only 375 watts. The rated capacity of the AVR refers to the maximum amount of power that it can provide to connected devices, but the actual power consumption depends on the load being powered.

wow, 20watts sa UPS? Im using APC UPS pero nasa 4watts lang yung idle/on power consumption nya. pero pag nag charge sya nasa 25watts.

Meron po ako Techserve US 1 - 1000. Same po ba consumption nya dyan sa 2000watts na tinest nyo?
kung dual po battery nyan most probably hindi nagkakalayo ang consumption po ng nasa test.
I suggest bili nyo po ng power switch na 10-15amp yung mismong UPS.

pag dating sa mga appliances na motorized, cooling elements or heating elements components, ang mga manufacturers ay kadalasan nirerecommend is 3 times ang capacity ng AVR sa kadahilanang meron itong mga electrical surge or spike during operation. for example 200watts freezer = 600 watts AVR.

kung ako po ay mag sasuggest tataasan ko pa po yang AVR like 2000 watts. dahil may motor and cooling element po ang mga yan, yang AVR niyo ay malamang iinit yan or pwede bumigay anytime.
yung mga maseselan na manufacturer ang advise nila pag meron motor, cooling or heating element ang appliance like aircon dahil may mga initial power spike ang mga yan, they recommend 3 times the watts (3000watts)
