- While on tour with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, my father Lane Venardos joined me on the road for long visits. His fascination with Trains and Circus life inspired him to capture a lot of our experiences on video... and his 40+ years as a network television producer turned what was essentially a home movie into a totally unique and amazing documentary.
The seven mini-movies we made became a sensation among show cast and crew, and are a lasting and wonderful testament not only to my incredible adventures as Ringmaster for The Greatest Show On Earth, but to the exceptional skills and extraordinary heart of my father, Lane Venardos. - Zábava
My grandfather used to take me down to the rail yards in Denver to watch them unload the circus train. Your video took me back to that time in the 1950's. Thank you so very much for sharing this series with us.
What a wonderful series, I just stumbled across and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a shame that this part of Americana no longer exists
RIP Lane!
I just watched the whole "series" and loved it! Thank you to you and your dad! I have family on the red train and they adore circus life.
Again, this "trip" was a treat. Something one can only dream about. Thoroughly enjoyable, made all the more so by Nestor himself (only don't jump train again, Nes)! I await more voyages by Ringling Bros. next year, okay?
I agree, I'd love to spend one day on this train with them and attend one show.. BRAVO!!!!!!! You All Bravo....
You have an amazing beautiful spirit I don’t know why but I’m crying it’s like you are an angel you are a sweet good person
Would love to be in the circus my dream
Great inside look into the train and circus life aboard.
Great job, it looks like it would be fun and exciting
Very, very nice!
Awesome video series! Sad to see RBBB go, and the train is gone forever, with the last show near me.
Who’s bright idea was it to fold up the greatest show on earth? Bring it back please!!!
There were many suspects: increased railroad costs. Costly court battles with animal rights activists that led to an end to elephant acts - and the fact that some people didn't want to see a show without elephants made the circus an unsustainable business for the company,
holly crap thats u in the video ur the ringmaster !!!!!!!
