- Recorded from the first row balcony at the historic theatre just outside Boston on October 30, 2021. Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz keeping it real since 1966. I apologize for the shaky quality in spots, I was trying to not be Mr. Obvious when recording.
I was at this show. Hard to believe he only had just over a month to live. I’m extremely grateful that I got to go to this show and see my heroes one last time. Rest In Peace.
He seems very ill there. Needed to sit. Not playing his trademark 12 string.

Aw, this is breaking my heart. God bless Mickey, look how he supports Mike. This is the song, this is the first Nesmith song on the first Monkees album. So beautiful to watch, THANK YOU for posting this video. The shaky camera, who cares......you captured their friendship. So bittersweet. Only one Monkee left, so hard to believe.
That's what touched me about it. You could see the deep friendship. I was concerned about Mike as he left the stage several times during the performance and looked really frail, but I had no idea that this recording was to become so special to me and to others. Rest In Peace to one of the all time greats. Papa Nez is one of the best songwriters of the ‘60s, with a fantastic country rock solo career. What a shame it took so long for Mike and the Monkees to get the accolades they deserve. Legendary
So glad the two got to sing this song one last time. I think it's the Monkees' best, mike & mickey's voices just blended so beautifully

Thank you. This means so much now. I was there that night with my oldest daughter who was raised on them musically. The fact this memory is there for me, and more importantly her to watch when either of us need it is so very important now. Thank you for filming, thank you for posting.
Thank you so much. I know, Mike looked frail at the show, but I never thought he would pass so soon after. It was a great night and I'm glad I finally did get to see them. I have several other videos from that night, please check them out as well.

Rest in peace. Davy Jones, Peter Tork and Mike Nesmith. I emailed Micky Dolenz in December and told him that I really enjoyed getting to see him and Mike Nesmith at the Texas Trust CU theater in October.
I met him last year at London comic con. And was going to email him but couldn't find his address anywhere. Does he still have a fan mail address too?
