I've heard many podcasters say that Mycroft was left behind by Amazon and Google and in a way they are right but I'm very, very, happy to see you moving forward, specially on the off-grid department. Congrats!!

Sounds like something Rimac Automobili could be interested in.
They are using Qt and I presume Linux in their car interface, voice interaction would be the next logical step.

Hi there @barkingbandicoot, thanks for letting us know. Since the switch over to Python 3.4+ in release 18.2.6b, and making 18.02 the default branch for the 'mycroft-skills' repo, there are several Skills no longer in the 18.02 branch, which means that they won't install via voice. We're currently working with Skill Authors to bring Skills up to date and have them on the 18.02 branch. Thanks for your patience as we work through this.

I'm not sure of the future of Mycroft. I don't think it's feasible to have a proper AI stored locally with current storage capacitys and closed source AI have billions of dollars to work with. They are doing an excellent job with moving forward. A marathon does start with a step.
I guess 10 years ago Linux didn't stand a chance against Mac, windows and the billions they had and look at it now.
open source is powerful, but I agree it is a challenge. Lets keep taking that step forward every day.
