This is our humble experience starting a luxury picnic business. I go over the details of how we started and how much money we have made so far to hopefully help you decide if this is an opportunity you want to pursue. When starting a luxury picnic company there are many things you will need to think about, but sometimes it is best just to quickly dive into the journey of being an entrepreneur and starting your own business. If you have been wanting to make more money but don't know where to start, this may be a good option for you. Paying for dinner parties and picnics has been a growing trend since Covid 19 due to people wanting activities where they can social distance and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. You can launch one of these businesses with little to no money upfront, but they have the chance to make a lot of money, as a side hustle or as a full-time gig if you do a great job. In this video you will find a lot of helpful advice and tips for starting a luxury picnic company and I am happy to answer questions for anyone who wants to know more.

I live in Hawaii and just had my first paying customer.. I'm so happy I did it but it's a lot of work.
Hey congrats on the first customer! It is a lot of work, but once you get into a routine after doing a handful of customers it should only get easier!
@@startuptrevor Thank you
This is so Informative and straight to the point thank you!!! I’m launching soon I’m nerves and excited at the same time - crossing my fingers on the weather 😅
You've got this! Weather can definitely be a curveball for a picnic business, but it usually seems to work out. I'll be posting a video this week of our 1 year results with some extra tips so be on the lookout for that!
This is such a great video ! Thank you so much. I’m in CA, inland empire to be exact and I plan on launching March 2022. Praying for success 🙏🏽
That's awesome! Hoping and praying for your success!!
Did you start it in March? Good luck, I’m in San Diego I want to do it too but I’m a bit scary!
So happy to o find your video here and so grateful to learn a lot from you. Stay awesome, guys!
I loved the video thank you
Thank you for the video
You're welcome! I hope you found it useful. I have other videos about luxury picnic businesses so feel free to check them out as well!
I loved your video. I am about to start my picnic business. I look forward to more videos from you. Hope you guys have much success in the business! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks! Best of luck to you with your business! I'm going to post a picnic update video this month so be on the lookout for it!
Great video! Thanks for sharing! I’d love to hear more about how you marketed the business to start.
Hey thanks! I might have to make a video on that at some point! It was a lot of social media marketing, but we came up with a few tricks to help give it a boost at the beginning.
Thanks super helpful :)
No problem! I'm glad you found it helpful. I'm planning on posting an update video on the business with some more tips within the next one to two months.
Good video ! Can I ask about how you got around the city or county wanting a business license to operate within the city? I wouldn’t normally stress about that but many locations want permits. Can you get a permit without being licensed and registered?
Most of the places we set up do not require a permit, but the times that we did, we actually didn't have a problem without being licensed. I do think that if we operated more in parks and places that required a permit, this probably would have become more of an issue.
This is such a helpful video. May I ask, how did you find partners to get the charcuterie boards from without having to get a food permit?
There are quite a few charcuterie companies out there now so I would recommend finding a small, local one and see if they are willing to provide you with the charcuterie boards.
Thanks for the video! That’s a beautiful set up with the Superstition Mountains in the background. Is that inside lost Dutchman state park?
No problem! No, it's not in the park. It's on some land really close to the park. The problem with the park is there are quite a few rules to follow such as no glassware being allowed.
@@startuptrevor oh cool! I saw their rules and regulations - it’s crazy! Where can I find this place you went to? I just want to take a nice family photo with the Superstition Mountains in the background without having to fill out a permit and pay the fees. 🙏 thank you in advance!
@@brookemontie lately this spot has been filled with campers that block the view. You should check out 1st Water Trailhead. There are great views of the Superstition Mountains there and a lot of photographers use it to avoid the fees of the park!
@@startuptrevor oh wow! Campers?! I wanna check that spot out too and camp! How do I get there? I’ll also check out first water trailhead. Thank you Trevor! 🙏
@@brookemontie Hey, sorry for the delayed reply! There is no official named road so you have to do a little looking, but if you are driving east on the Apache Trail towards the state park, there is a small, rough dirt path you can turn off on your right very soon after you pass the Blue Bird Gift Shop. If you turn there and drive forward it will open to little clearing. It has amazing views of the mountains!
What is your instagram for the picnic?
@startuptrevor how did you guys advertise your business?
We mainly used Instagram to promote the business since it is a highly visual business. We did pay for ads on Instagram, but we also cross-promoted with photographers and did a couple of giveaways which I have a couple of videos about if you want to check them out.
@@startuptrevor Thank you for your reply! What do you think was your best advertising strategy? Im assuming IG allows you to target your target costumer? Im looking to offer more so an experience that really only has about a 1 month opportunity window
@@DogDaysohlala no problem! Instagram advertising worked very well for us. It uses the same platform as Facebook's advertising and it allows you to get pretty specific with the targeting criteria. If you are needing to target a very specific audience for that one-month window, Facebook and Instagram ads will probably be a good option for you.
@@startuptrevor thank you Trevor!
