- A mid-morning summer hike to beat the heat at the NJ Forest Resource Education Center in Jackson, NJ. I came across some antique tractors and a sugar shack on this relaxing hike.
I love the outdoors, but also love seeing old relics of the past.
Same. We went to a classic car show last night. The kids loved the old cars. I got a chuckle out of a few Oldsmobile Station Wagons from the early 80s being there.
Hell yeah. This is beautiful.
The farm equipment was a nice change in scenery.
They also had an old clipper seed cleaning machine that was in really good shape.
Like #1. Very nice. You are getting more creative with your shots. Everything looks great.
Thanks Craig! I was surprised by the location. Turned out to be a nice little morning hike.
Wow, some awesome scenery! That old barn is a dream for a picker!!! Probably so many good little trinkets in there! 👌
Thanks! Yeah there were some interesting pieces there.
Return to the area when the sap is flowing as it is quite the process and rather fun to take part in...especially when offered some of sweet treat! Bruce and Otis
I'm going to mark my calendar for 2024 :) Good idea!
That moment when you look up and just breathe. I felt like I was there. #touchgrass
Hello mister, Wow yes good beautiful 👍👍❤️
Thank you very much
Pretty cool place. I’m a big fan of Red tractors, so that was nice to see. Maple Syrup is always a plus as well!
I used to market garden with a Kubota from the 70s so I love seeing old tractors and equipment.
@@buscampers I have a 1948 Farmall Cub here at the house. It ran when parked, not sure it does now. I used to use it quite a bit. I have a newer Deere now I use for everything.
@@mountainsintomemories I almost bought a Cub when I was looking but the problem was the pto didnt work with a lot of equipment that was available. IIRC it spun the opposite direction or something like that.
Tractors are great to have. I have a much smaller yard now so I can't justify getting one. I'd like one for moving firewood but nothing would fit through the gate.
@@buscampers yes, the pto is backwards and spins at like 1600 rpm or something like that. You can get a thing to make it compatible, but they’re rare to find these days.
We have a good bit of property and we heat 100% with wood, so a tractor is a lifesaver.
@@mountainsintomemories Nice. I've been burning since 2009. Not 100% but I burn about 2-3 cord per winter. 7 years ago I refurbished a Woodstock Fireview I picked up for $600.
Hey, what do you guys do for ticks? Spray or cedar oil? What do you think? I’d be in the woods all day if I could.
sawyers tick spray.
