Ascension doesn't create threaded specters or apply slow from winter's shroud, the sword also can't take advantage of weaken from stylish. With all the damage resistances I doubt the invisibility will do much but allow you to move within range of more enemies with arc conductor but ascension on enough enemies should give you insane uptime on gunpowder gamble. This is a strong grenade taking greater advantage of Shieldcrush and now you still have 6 fragment slots, also I would swap out facet of dominance since you'll be using a solar grenade and this build already just outputs a lot of jolt.
Besides all this though this build is incredibly interesting and it's the first build I've seen come out this season that is; unique, has a lot of character, is fun and more importantly viable. Congratulations.
Edit: as of right now holding specifically an arc ergo sum out while using ascention will not give any progress to gunpowder, my alternative is a void or solar gathering light ergo sum to get your ascension back quicker and void can take advantage of volatile from facet of bravery
what would you replace facet of dominance with?
@@frailvictorianchild As of right now id say facet of ruin because it will increase the size of the ignition, this is only because facet of mending isn't giving cure from gunpowder gamble even though its considered a grenade.

Going to test if using unpowered melee while holding the sword works to proc Stylish’s weaken
@@pistolgrippoet Didnt test that but i can imagine it wouldn't work because unlike glavies swords arent considered melee so it cant proc anything a melee would

Ascension is a huge letdown since it counts as an “air move”. It just consumes your class ability energy, it doesn’t count as using a class ability. It won’t proc threaded specter, winters shroud, reaper, powerful attraction, spirit of HoIL, bomber, and so many other things. Facet of hope is also currently bugged and isn’t working with amplified. Ascension is fun but just takes so much away from builds.
Fun Fact about Ergo Sum: Get one with Stormbringer, put on Radiant Dance Machines, spam Ascension while holding the sword and enjoy the free Stormbringer storms and Stylish Executioner invisibility at the low low cost of 0 ammo.
u sure the lightning storms triggered aren’t just ascension? Im pretty sure you gotta get kills with the sword to proc the sword perk…

@@Crippywipple i use it myself, kills with ascension count for kills with ergo sum while you're holding it for some reason. no idea why it does this but it's a neat interaction and yes it DOES work with stormbringer

I prefer threaded spike for my melee honestly, the damage debuff on enemies not only makes us tankier but it also helps out allies for team play and it's recharge on catch allows us to use the dodge more for ascension rather than dodging

What if instead u use the hunter exotic cloak with galanor and the spider one that gives woven mail and then use silence and squal and u get the frost armour with the fragment with that aswell. I feel like thats probably the best way to get resistance with the sword and builds into transendance grenade stuff. Super and transendance spam with high DR seems like the way to go with this sword
Worth noting that facet of hope is broken so you can run something else until it's fixed.
what other weapons would you recommend ?
Ive been running a version of this with a voltshot indebted kindness and its very fun. I wanna be sold on the sword but since its not an actual jolt idk

Reaper and Dynamo don’t trigger from Ascension. It uses Class Ability but doesn’t count as one. Only things that say when “class ability is empty…” will use it.
I'm really surprised to see rarely anyone use this sword especially this roll type. U can literally run through Nightfalls n high tier content. I put it on my Warlock with Getaway Artist and I haven't took it off yet.
This is literally the ONLY roll I haven’t gotten to drop on this damn sword and it’s the only one I actually want 😅

I would love this but the game won’t give me this roll on the sword. I have 19 of them…
One improvement you could make is the fragment that allows finishers that jolts targets based off your super.
You’re already running close towards enemies that are in finisher range, on top of that you could slot in special finisher as well if you’re running double special
But then we lose restoration

Was thinking the same - shroud works off “dodge”, so I would usually go with ascension/stylish. But if shroud does work, that’d be interesting

It doesn’t proc it because it’s not counted as a dodge, & even if it did… it would have no effect seeing as ascension basically 1 shots anything it touches
@@SweetsKarmaunfortunately ascension doesn’t one shot in harder content, but the jolt effect on a group is still worth it
You have 4 armor mods related to armor charge, but no payoffs? Personally, I switched out charged up with emergency reinforcement for even more tanking, but thats just me.
You’re better off with actual resist mods and not emergency reinforcement.
The seasonal mod Argent Blade consumes armor charges to increase sword damage. However, it does this one at a time instead of all at once.

Correct, which is why I’m pairing it with Gifted conviction (50% from everything). Plus the remaining resistances I cover later in the video.

Instead of casting gathering storm, be the gathering storm instead.
Needing to run golden gun to get restoration is the weakest part of the Hunter prismatic kit. I want nothing to do with golden gun unless I'm built fully around it and shooting at some kind of boss. On Titan stronghold allows me to get another source of healing.

either use a weapon with heal clip, use the no hesitation gun with physic perk, or make obs with siphon moss while having recuperation mod for healing. Theres options, you dont HAVE to run solar subclass

You can tell that the new supers and aspects were chosen for prismatic out of the worry they would be otherwise over shadowed.
Ascension is a cool move and dose a crap ton of damage... which kind of makes the bouncy ball for the new exotic pointless. I hope bungie makes some changes to Ascension to add more synergy to both Prismatic and Arc. Right now Arc Hunters Staff fragments don't even really synergise beacuse both the other fragments work better with the slide melee 😅😅 hopefully in the future Ascension can be a stand alone move like Shatter dive with its own cooldown.

Yup! Even excells in the brand new exotic mission for your exotic class item.

I don’t like builds that are tied to specific weapons. In the current game bungie has changed the way raids works. Surges are super important now. Builds that require certain weapons are no longer going to be meta builds. Just something to consider going fwd.
Its better with void wave frame insectiod on gyrfalcon hunter.

@@ChainsawMcgrawl yes it is. Infi invis, a bunch of healing, and the insectoids proc a volatile explosion sometimes so you can literally kill some enemies and while you are invisible they are tracking to other enemies and killing them as well with massive explosions.
@@JGburneraccount don't get me wrong, that void sword roll is cool and I love my gyrfalcs, but it's nowhere near as good as this other build. I'm not talking on paper, I'm talking from experience after running both builds(prior to seeing this vid) in an array of content including contest mode raid and the arc build(especially sword roll) trumps the void one.
