- Universal Studios Hollywood is finally back open & we couldn't wait to experience the brand new ride - The Secret Life of Pets: Off The Leash! This ride was actually fully completed right before the pandemic hit and has been sitting empty in Universal Studios Hollywood for over a year. To say we were excited to finally be able to go on it is an understatement. Come along as we show you this amazing new ride and stick around as we eat some food from the new Minions Cafe Restaurant.

Can’t lie even as a Disney fan boy, this ride looks absolutely insane

What are the height requirements? My husband is 6'7, and the fact that he won't be able to ride this, such a slow moving ride mind you, is very dissapointing universal..really don't know what you were thinking with this one.

@@Protato_Gamer tho it seemed like the pull bar was pressing on the thighs, and us tall folk our thighs sit much higher in narrow sitting boxes because we can't stretch our legs out.

Being honest and vulnerable, I’ve always struggled with weight. A few years ago my family and I went to Disney after I had lost about 20-25 pounds. Disney, no issues! Universal, couldn’t fit on Harry Potter. It crushed my spirit. Having to get off the ride in front of everyone to wait for the special extended ride vehicle just sent me over the edge. I didn’t even enjoy the ride because I was devastated. I don’t know why Universal isn’t very accommodating in that way.
I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me years ago in front of all my friends. I went to the gift shop as they rode the ride and got off and told me how awesome it was. I felt like crap. - Peter

Feel you on this one. The only ride at all of Dinsey I didn't quite fit was Seven Dwarf Mine Train in Florida. Every other ride at Disneyland and Disneyworld I fit. Props for Disney being so accommodating with their ride designs.

Dang Universal for not making Fluffy Friendly Slow Moving Rides. Makes me not want to go. I really wanna go to Orlando and ride Hagrid's ride because I'm a Hagrid cosplayer, but they need to have more Hagrid sized ride vehicles
Wait, I don’t get why this dark ride restraints are just as “intense” as a rollercoaster or like Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey? It seems a little too much?

Maybe because it’s aimed for little kids who are more likely to try and get out of their seat? I know the Seuss trolly train in Orlando has pretty intense restraints too for that reason. Still seems a bit of an over kill though
they could have 2 sets of clicks. one click higher up for adults and another click lower for kids. ride operators should be capable of distinguishing between adults and children and pushing the lapbar down to the proper level

@@libsybum3591I think the Seuss ride needs tougher restraints because it’s elevated and travels above guests and buildings. The Secret Life of Pets ride is more similar to that of the Haunted Mansion at Disney parks.

Universal knocking it out of the park with their new rides lately. Hagrid's, this, and the upcoming VelociCoaster...
Really hope, for Orlando, we see an awesome update to Poseidon's Fury with some new tech. So much potential.
Can't wait for our next trip on either coast.
Universal has truely upped the game since Harry Potter (let’s forget jimmy fallon abd fast and the furious happened)
Now they just need to make their rides more friendly for people of more sizes.. Disney does it so it is possible
I had no idea these movies were big enough to get their own ride. Time to go watch them.

That ride looks so darn cute. An the whole queue is amazing. Can see why this is on VL return. But those ride vehicles should be more accommodating. Tip on rides like those and Hagrid’s for hefty people like myself. When standing put the top of the lap bar under your belly and when sitting hold on to it as it is pressed to you. This was taught by a Team Member at the attraction of Hagrid’s . Even though lost and hopefully still. An it has helped tremendous at rides with those lap bars. Plus with any test seat the ride vehicle has the final say. Have seen plenty of times where the test seat said no and the ride said yes.

You can request to go in the handicap accessible car in a wheel chair. I’ve heard people who request that have gotten on

I felt bad for Peter when the safety belt wouldn't go down but it was just those stickers.😂
The vehicle still shouldn’t have restraints that don’t allow bigger people. It’s a shame
@@OrdinaryAdventures yeah it's a dark ride that goes like 5 miles an hour or less. I am a big person too but haven't had the chance to get on rides but I can't imagine going to a theme for 1 ride and not being able to get on. It really is sad.
I noticed the newer rides all had only a seat divider but should divider. It's doesn't just affect overweight people, tink about the Rock or Schwarzenegger, athletes that are healthy but are muscular with huge arms - they cant fit in some of these newer rides.
@@OrdinaryAdventures The ride system overall is similar to haunted mansion, but has seats and restraints as if it was a thrill ride. Pretty strange.

I cannot tell you how hard I laughed at “Hope we get Weiner Kingdom” 😂 amazing. But what isn’t amazing is Universal Studios body shaming people out experiencing any part of their park! She’s right. But usually it’s with thrill rides. It makes no sense to have these insane restraints for a slow moving Omni mover dark ride

They didn't show you as the same 2 puppies the second time you passed a mirror. Did you ride more than once for the footage?
Sorry if I wasn’t clear, you have the same dog at the beginning and end of the ride. We shot two different ride throughs of this ride and combined them so that’s why you see it change at the end, of first footage of the ended had some audio issues

This is why i enjoy POV videos, am not small and its depressing to go and find out the hard way you dont fit on a lot of stuff (flights of passage for one) it kind of kills my desire to vacation at parks if a lot of stuff you dont fit on because of the locking mechanism. Heck am not even a roller coaster person.
See usually it doesn’t bother me much because it’s usually on roller coasters and I don’t care about coasters. Forbidden Journey was the one ride it happened on with me, and it sucked but atleast that’s a thrill ride and the restraints might make sense? This ride makes no sense to have such insane restraints. It’s a very slow moving Omnimover ride.
The lost busy bee reminds me of the movie "Best in Show".

Awesome. I love the rides which have attention to detail. Have a care for story-telling. To me, this has a Dark Mansion-esque style but obviously a different franchise.

Oh I’m sure they don’t want people touching the animatronics but Disney’s omnimover rides have no problem with that with much less restrictive vehicles
