Lisa can speak basic Chinese. And Because she’s Thai so the whole show she just speak English and Thai and there are also Thai - Chinese translator for her it would be easier for her to get her point across.
Its a thai language. There’s someone that’s translating for her but she can speak basics of Chinese because she needs to communicate to other judges too.
During this season of YWY(2), Lisa spoke very little Chinese at all. But she came back again for the following season and had clearly been trying to learn more because she does occasionally speak phrases in Chinese. She truly only speaks very basic Chinese, but on top of the other four languages, that is still amazing. And I learned a lot of Korean during the years I lived in Korea, but the Chinese language is HARD to learn. I envy Lisa’s ability to speak so many languages.
Right. Chinese is actually insanely difficult. The fact that she could even get the basics down that fast is insane.

I think the only (in my opinion) language that might be harder for an American to learn would be Arabic. I tried, briefly, to learn it. It’s a beautiful language, but I couldn’t even grasp the alphabet. I did better at Chinese. 😂
As funny and harsh as she was I feel like I needed to see this side of her. All of Blackpink said Lisa kept them in line and helped them with their choreo. It shows how serious she is about dancing and details.

That girl is You Shuxin she's a mood🤣🤣🤣but she's talented like she is basically an actress but she said when she heard that Lisa will be on the show she just changed her whole career and yes she made it in the group and even became a youth tutor in the next season of the show 💜

And the never ending saga of "One more time, one more time, one more time...", These are one of her iconic lines XD along with Yadom and other ones, i remember that ppl were a little bit scared of her coz we werent used to see Lisa that serious and strict, like we always see Lisa smiling and acting cute and happy so when ppl saw her like that so serious... We got a little bit scare, man... Mentor Lisa is probably the 1st video I saw from them like these compilation videos about 1 member... If wasnt the 1st one was one of the 1st ones... No wait, I think the 1st one was the "Jennie is not ok and we should be worried" one I saw in 2019(year that I knew them) but mentor Lisa is one of the 1st videos I watched, actually i dont consider myself from 2019 a blink, i only became a blink in 2020, (theres a difference between blink and Fan) In 2019 I was the annoying fan that only listened to their most famous tracks and noisy songs and didnt care about the more singing songs and bsides, and I didn't know any of their funny moments, only a sad video about jennie, but in 2020 because of the teasers of HYLT and the song's release i became a blink, and in just 1 month I watched Everything about them, guides, compilation videos, literally knew almost everything about them, And I watched a lot of these compilation videos... Man Im getting nostalgia from 2020 I remember me watching this in 2020 after HYLT AAAAAH nostalgia
3:37 yes but dont forget Lisa was still learning Chinese, and since they have a translator she could speak in her own language Thai, but she could speak some words and phrases in Chinese but in that time she was still learning, but in "Youth With You 3" in 2021 she got better with her chinese

Just in case you want to watch the show, Lisa was the dance mentor for Youth With You seasons 2 and 3. She taught female trainees in S2, while S3 had male trainees. At the middle of S2 covid happened so she wasn't able to go to China for the 2nd half of s2 and the entire s3. Just a heads up in case you'll wonder why in the later compilations Lisa was facetiming them instead of actually physically being there.

As you can see. That is the only episode that Lisa is kinda rude, well She is strict as a mentor but not that rude. That is because of a challenge if the trainee can survive on her team. She wants a team that can survive any challenges and has a strong guts to keep going. That's why she asked them if they're still willing to stay in A class after the challenge.

No, bro she speaks thai, because she's from Thailand. And yeah little bit she know the Chinese and also she can understand but not so fluent. So there's a translator in the show whom translate to the trainee so they can understand what's Lisa saying. But bro she's too cute when she speaks thai❤

hey hey so lemme do my big one as usual and give u more deets. So the show Lisa was mentoring on “Youth With You” as u know based in China.. a trainee show and they did speak Chinese however Lisa was going back and forth between English and Thai as those are her two most comfortable languages. They of course had translators though! Also, this season was season 2 which was 109 female trainees from different companies, who are voted for by viewers. The Top 9 trainees with the most votes in the final episode debuted in the Chinese girl group called THE9. Now when it came to Lisa being strict as we know KPOP idols always get hate from every corner but KPOP idols like Lisa who are global get it excessively so Lisa went on this show playing 0 GAMES and did you know her attitude and how she trained them made her gain even more respect in China? The public was so impressed by her intensity and training skills! They praised her for it actually and when westerners react to this they think of Lisa as being mean after but no that’s not the case at all. In Asian countries like this they take training very seriously in ANYTHING! Especially a competitor show like this they had no time to waste in such short time ! Lisa did get alot of praise for the show but also still got hate because they said she was being too mean and rude and you know what’s crazy the next season (3) they introduced 119 male trainees from different entertainment agencies to form a 9-member male group through global viewers' votes. Their group was formed and is now called IXFORM. And basically Lisa toned it down that season bc of complaints by those people who had a problem with it even tho she had MAXIMUM PRAISE and then people switched up and said she was being too nice with the boys and not the girls and that she was being bias because it was boys as if they ain’t complain about her all of season 2… I swear Lisa can’t win. But anyways Lisa did so good with this show and they all still loved and respected her very much. Also let’s not forget KPOP idols go through a lot of intense training themselves training sunrise to sundown and MORE ! It’s not like it’s not something they aren’t used to in other Asian countries too with trainees… and BP had it alot more rigorous trust. Lastly, so for each season Lisa did at end the actual dance with the people chosen (I think for just theme practice purposes) and they made a video of the full choreo they worked on in the season performance.
