    Make Your Own Senkos & Ned Baits for Pennies
    Remelting used soft baits & making new ones
    This video shows how to recycle your used soft plastic baits. I've been using recycled craws, senkos and swimbats for the last year. The $35 mold pays for itself after about a dozen packs. Making your own baits dose take a little work, but the most important thing is to not get hurt. Read safety instructions and wear proper protection.
    Would you like to see how easy it is to recycle plastic baits and save money? Remelt those old baits. I took a little time to help teach you in this DIY Recycle old baits tutorial video to show you step by step on just how easy it can be.
    We are remelting used plastic and mixing up one big pot of ugliness for today's video! Never let your old plastic go to waste! You can make some weird colors for your baits when blending old plastisol together.

    You can make your own open pour molds with a little plaster of Paris, mix it up press some new baits in, let it dry and you have a mold, works pretty well

    I use to play around with re melting and hand pouring years ago. I used the hot plate heating method and open pour molds. I even got as far as making my own molds and creating new baits. Nothing as cool as catching fish on baits you made and poured. Good video.

      I think a fat ika mold with the tentacles is slightly more complicated with more moving parts and inserts. Getting a cheap mold and trying it with reused plastics is a good way to see if its for you before investing plastisol, colorants and glitter.

    Look awesome . Have you done any with scent in them ??

    • @HellaBass
      @HellaBass  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, one thing to consider is many of the used plastics have some kind of salt or scent baked into them so the baits have cocktail mix of scent already.
      Secondly adding oil or scent during cooking process is tricky. I find it best to just add scent to the bag or container you store them in & let them marinate in that until you out them on the hook! Thnx for watxhing.

    • @jeffersonlehman8117
      @jeffersonlehman8117 Před 4 lety

      @@HellaBass Other than bags from existing soft plastics that you already have, do you have a preferred bag that you could recommend for storage so I can add scent and package into 8 or 10 pieces per bag?

    • @HellaBass

    The baits look awesome. I am a huge senko fan. I am actually getting my first ever mold next week. Do you find the injector molds easier than the hand pour molds?

    • @HellaBass
      @HellaBass  Před 4 lety +1

      The injection mold is faster and more consistent. But you often have to purge and clear ot between molds. If you really get into it, multiple injectors will help with productivity
