Thank you for this teaching! I needed it. I gave 10% last month, and had to borrow money to buy my medications. So, when I get paid next month I will have to pay that person back. I felt God couldn't have wanted me to tithe, then turn around and borrow, when I had the money for my meds, which would've kept me from borrowing if I hadn't given so much. I will pray and ask God what He wants me to give from now on. Thank you again, and God bless you.

I was ordained a minister several years ago. I never attended theological seminaries. I am proud to say that the Holy Spirit, along with my personal studies, led me to a clear understanding of what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you. However, because you (Pastor Dollar) and others who are in the limelight’s of the Gospel, have preached “tithing principles”, no one was willing to listen to me (a storefront preacher). I thank God that He has revealed to you the truth about giving. I commend you for your honesty and for having the courage to admit that you were wrong. I pray that others who are within your circle would come to the knowledge of the truth. After years of being ridiculed, I feel vindicated.

And he is doing so with the same motive as before ie, to fleece his followers of their money. He said preaching a lie has gotten him where he is today. When I used to tithe if my husband and I missed one and something negative happened, in fear we thought it was consequences of not tithing. In fact we’ve been more blessed since ww stopped tithe. Change is one of the most difficult things for humans to make even when it may benefit us. My son forwarded this sermon to me because we often differ in our spiritual practices and he thinks my mind is closed when it comes to considering alternative forms of religious practices. Tithing was actually applicable to the line of Benjamin and the Levitical priest. Jesus said in giving to the poor you are giving to me. I actually sow more than 10% into my shepherd and church, but I also help the poor immensely, which most pastors don’t teach about. Not here to argue or prove a point. We are all free to think what we want. It takes a lot for someone to repent in front of the world when they were wrong, and most people will condemn them, but won’t even repent for being wrong in front of their spouse. Nevertheless, I did share the truth with my family and some of them received it and some rejected it. Did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider.
-- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites.
-- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple.
-- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the scriptures that speak to these issues. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures.
    Four biblical truths, regarding tithing:
    (1) There is no scripture that authorizes anyone but a Levite to receive tithes.
    (2) There is no scripture that authorizes a pastor to receive tithes.
    (3) There is no scripture that requires a Gentile to tithe.
    (4) There is no scripture that requires the church to tithe.

The teaching Ive been under have revealed this trutht to me this message years ago so I am blessed to know what Creflo is saying ALREADY....again which was a blessing for me......but I have relatives who refused to pay rent and bills because of tithing. The irony would be that they would not pay one bill to pay another (the tithe)..... which in and of itself is a sin not pay that person whom you owe i.e landlord, car notes, utility bills???. So they would sin in one area and be faithful in another......this is what was being taught. Pauls tells us to be a Cheerful giver and give what you can, when you can because we are under grace.

Members of the body need to be Bereans. We all need to carefully examine what is taught to us. This is not the only thing Dollar has been wrong about. I remember talking to people from his church in 1992 about tithing. I think the main thing the Body needs to focus on in this situation, is the process in how things come to light. Where is the Holy Spirit in this whole process? Where is the discernment of the word? Dollar has been preaching prosperity theology for decades and people have been challenging his understanding for years and he would double down on his beliefs. The Body need to put mega pastors in their place and stop putting men above the Word of God. Pastors need to stop saying that God/ Holy Spirit told me this and told me that about a topic if that is not the case. This man spent years telling members of the body, his own misguided views about Christians who did not tithe in a prosperity theology mind state. When I was a young believer, I thought that Creflo Dollar was not a credible person to be under and today nothing has changed. I would like to know when he sought the truth about tithing from God/ Holy Spirit. Is Dollar led by the Lord or his own motives. Many people saw this man have his congregation focus on purchasing a private jet among other shady things this wolf in sheep's clothing has done over the years. But no matter what many will choose to be under his guidance and that is their right to choose.

I can't understand how the same Holy Spirit that lead people to teach these things for years to the masses hasn't revealed what is now being taught long ago. I don't say this in judgement... but with a legitimate question. I feel like it should now be taught with all seriousness and not jokingly and not all of a sudden saying it with condemnation for other churches who teach about giving a 10% tithe. If he feels like he was in error after preaching this subject and preaching overall... for so many years... this will make non-beleivers question the church of God and will also give the "I told you so" statements that outsiders make... credibility as to why the church is teaching false doctrine. If Creflo new perspective is true... he should speak it in all humility and seriousness. Someone with his in-depth ability to speak, teach and preach, for him to all of a sudden become aware of this topic now is cunfusing and questions what else is being taught wrong. When we say... "the Lord spoke to me..." with much confidence and conviction... but... the Lord hasn't corrected this or taught this year's ago... is very confusing and can be discouraging. It can cause a stumbling block.

These pastors should be ashamed of themselves by lying to people who don't know God's word, but come to hear only to be told lies. Some people are in dire needs for God's help. Unfortunately some preach lies and do not preach the truth! The truth is , Jesus Christ said we may or will face trial or tribulations, but trust in the Lord. Most if not all of us may never be rich and struggle- why? Only God knows. We must pray, but telling people to give half or more of their limited income and God will triple or multiply it several times is a lie and wrong. We don't give to God to get back. We don't know God's plan are even if we give millions.

Thank you. It's about time a mainstream minister has the boldness to declare this message. I am shocked that Joseph Prince does not have this revelation. He talks about Abraham tithing before the law and to that I say, Abraham was also circumcised before the law of Moses so does that mean we teach circumcision? By no means! We are circumcised and purified in heart by FAITH. And If anyone tries to tell you that tithing is a matter of grace citing Abraham, gently correct them with Matthew 23:23. Jesus declares tithing as a 'MATTER OF THE LAW.' And according to Romans 4:14, "For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made VOID, and the promise made of NONE EFFECT."
Faith is made void by the law.
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy and faithfulness."
From this scripture we can see that Jesus communicates the tithe as a part of the law. Anything that was woven into the law of Moses will always be a 'MATTER OF THE LAW.'
Case closed as far as I am concerned. Now give as each one has purposed in his heart. Amen

What he is saying is, prove your faith by your actions. Why only tithes? what about divorce? Is it God's will for a couple to separate? No. But their free will causes them to separate against God's will. Are there consequences for the children because of the divorce since we are not under the law? Yes. Is single parenthood causing delinquents ? Yes. It is affecting our societies. There are still consequences in your natural life if you sin. Will a divorce person go to hell if he/she is saved already? No.
There was a person in the book of Acts who was sleeping with his father's wife. Did Paul go to him to gently preach the message of grace so that out of gratefulness and free will he would stop doing that? No, he was heavily reprimanded and was going to be handed over to the devil.
How did we get saved in the first place? Because we repented of our sinful lifestyle. What is a sinful lifestyle? It is living a life contrary to the laws of God. Why repent then if now through grace we can all do what we please?

The Lord sees what we spend, how much is left, how we splurge, waste, etd. then He sees the offering/Tithe envelope or Cashapp etc amount we give toward the Kingdom. compared to the hair, nails, fine foods, designer clothes, game systems, 80 inch TVs, upgrades to kitchen & Bath, Man Caves, luxury tree house, finished basement, new car from trading in a nearly new car etc. and nothing wrong with these things when we live right and love right, but compared to what we give toward the Kingdom, which should come First...well.... Does it really. $

Thank you Lord for using this familiar vessel to help us in true understanding. God pulled him out the fire and sent him back in to pull the multitude out and if the spirit of the living God is truly in any of us....all I'm saying is those that have an ear let them hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. I've been soooo off and on about this subject for many years because some say 10%, some say pay tithes some say don't. It makes it challenging for new and even seasoned believes due to the history of religion. I just use Matthew 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. This scripture didn't say tithe first..or tithing was the only way to receive material vs spiritual blessings. I feel like this is what many Pastors should come together and speak this truth. This right here actually not only gave me a better understanding but, because there's no pressure, yet understanding. ..it makes me want to give joyfully as the Lord says and not man. I'm sure uncle Creflo was like ok God you trippen if you want me to go back and say this to all these folk..I know I would have been like Moses like God they not gone believe you sent me lortttttt just send some one else..😂 you done set many folks free and.....the friends you loose and Pastors who feel some type of way..don't mind cuz clearly you just low key got they lights cut off and the Bentley repossessed..ijs 😂🤧😢. Listen, we are in the last days and its cray cray out here...we ain't got no time to be false teaching, confused, doubting or misleading people heck we trying to make make it into the Kingdom this ain't the time to be faking either you are Christian or Kingdom..SIMPLE AS THAT..You and Auntie keep allowing the Lord to remold you and use you to help the ones who seek truth. Blessings on Blessings to you all!!!!!

I find it amazing to hear someone who's living under grace and mercy everyday their eyes open to judge another. Picking and choosing is not in covenant. You or me don't have any say so on how God moves on the lives of the believer. I'm thankful to be present to witness such a gracious move of God. This shows mercy in a beautiful way.
I pray my ways don't befall before me but that I stand in the beauty of the lord and be clay for his molding!
Grace is a blessing. It's ok to be unlearned in ways that aren't true to self.

This same principal applies to alot of things that changed and set us free from how things were done in the old testament. When Jesus died and was resurrected everything changed. Example...the vail split in the holy of holies meaning he stood in the balance between us and God and we no longer needed a priest to take our prayers to God and we could now go to the throne of ourselves. When Jesus died it was a new covenant.

Thank God for your life and the teaching. But I want to learn fully, if what you saying is true, My question is, if I pay tithes, will it be sin? Will it take me to hill? Please Sir, I really need an answer. Thanks for your understanding.

Giving is a response to what God has already done, and is a response that God is able to take care of God
