I honestly believe it depends on the type of boat, if it's any form of rowboat you don't actually need one, but if it's motorized most likely yes. Since the latter is a motor vehicle, in the water. Though in response to Microwave, is that because you aren't even born yet?
To clarify I think it's mainly just consumer motorboats that need registration and licenses. That submarine thing makes me wonder if those captaining military ships and subs need licenses.

My MIL was a hot air balloon pilot. Not only did she need a license, she had to renew it yearly, and was subject to drug screening. When she got cancer, she couldn't take her pain medication if she wanted to fly. It makes me happy she was able to fly during her last year. I never got to go up with her, but I've flown as a kid. I'm not the biggest fan of heights anymore (I'm 6'2", I'm far enough off the ground as it is)

7:18 I used to just skip all the cutscenes when I was younger because I just wanted to get to the gameplay. This never had any impact on the gameplay itself but it made the levels feel more disconnected than they should have been (for example: "wait why am I fighting this character", "where am I why am I here", "who's this") but I was still able to play the game. Only upon growing older and not skipping the cutscenes did I fully experience the glorious game that is Sonic Adventure 2
same thing but with Halo 3 on the 360 but i knew the basics and Halo 5 Guardians before launch and i also didnt pay enought atention to dialogue and there was also those markething trailers for Halo 5 that where removed because they where fake so my brain trought that Locke was the Multiplayer Spartan

If I remember correctly, the "Money doesn't buy happiness" comes from the idea that increasing income/savings ends up with diminishing returns on mental state once you reach a certain threshold. It has since been co-opted by the rich and their cronies to try and mean "You should be happy with your lot in life and stop complaining."
Essentially it's progressed from being a caution on excessive wealth to being away to hoard wealth amongst the few.

My hometown once had a cow escape to live with a herd of deer. The cow was found pretty quickly but recovering it was a little complicated because they didn't want to cause any problems for the deer.

Man I so relate to the 'turn it into a side hustle' comic...once upon a time I used to enjoy making music, then I turned it into a side hustle and then career and stopped enjoying it altogether, then I stopped doing it professionally, but now I lack the drive to do it again...its so relatable. I still do it sometimes when I'm not feeling tired...and that feeling is so much better, that I'm making music just to enjoy the process and I don't have the pressure of having to make music worth selling.
Note to younger people: you don't have to turn a hobby you enjoy into a side hustle or a career...enjoy it for what it is and you will have a much better time doing it.
