Sir there is no single earthworm in my compost . I always used cowdung as well in my compost . But the result there is no single earthworm . Gow can i produce them
What kind of cowdung ur using. If that is foreign breed that cowdung has no capacity for fertilizer. U have to use native breed cow
Some animal dung, uncured, may not be viable for worms as it is too hot when it is fresh. If you're using fresh cow dung it will burn the worms so it will need to be cured (left outside to cool down). Goat dung is usable immediately as it is not hot and worms LOVE IT!
But near by my cowshed drainage area numerous earhworms multiply very rapidly. They go to the level of one ft depth to survive the winter.

its brief, but for how many weeks it take
Worms eat up to their weight in food waste each day, so it depends on how much and how often you feed them. You will see how the food waste is turned into worm castings (poo) as they convert the food waste, it will be fine brown material that smells earthy. You can take this out as it occurs to use while adding new food waste. Always check for worms and worm eggs (look like little lemons or basketballs) to put back into your worm bed to keep the cycle going. Does this help?

Will any Earth Worm work as vermiworm??
Red wigglers are voracious eaters, that's why they are used in vermicomposting, as they can eat up to their weight in food waste each day. Other worms may not convert your food waste as fast.
Earthworms associated with banana may also be tried but yet to be investigated.
