Not only that, but their supply chain is decades in the making, and the buying power keeps their costs way down compared to say us shopping at a grocery store. But when they talk about their costs going up, they act like it's what we face in the grocery store. It's not.

I bought bags of lentils, baby carrots, celery, onion, garlic, chicken stock, spices, and used all of those cheap ingredients to makes lentil soup. My god, not only is it mouthwatering, but I get SO MANY portions. I even froze some soup for later. Fast food is trash and not worth the money.

I stopped eating fast food because it got too expensive, but now I do not want to return there because I try to stay healthy.

I wish people would do healthy meal preps. I have done so for the past three years or so and pick a day out of my week to meal prep and it is so much healthier, delicious and way cheaper than restaurants.
People are to lazy to learn how to cook that's why they indulge themselves with chemical modified slop
I've found that I can have steak and potatoes for less than the cost of the average fastfood meal.
I'm not American but it's so incredibly expensive everywhere right now. I found so many cookbooks and videos on here on how to meal prep and it's definitely cheaper and much more healthy! It takes me about 5 hours- but I pick a day that I have some free time and do it. It's so worth it.

Just learn to cook for yourself. I cooked myself a grilled cheese sandwich for mere pennies (2 slices of bread and a slice of cheese), and it gave the same satisfaction that a small burger would give.

My feelings with BK were like yours until it happens to me again. McD’s isn’t as bad but if I go time without it does mess with me a lil. Wendy’s is the only one that doesn’t mess with me and is good when I go. BK breakfast is still a go to though, just the whopper is what gets me…. Que lastima 😞

Yeah fast food has been giving me stomach issues a lot recently. It likes eating homemade food a lot more. Mom's and Grandma's cooking are great. Dad can cook up good barbecue kabobs and chicken with mom's help when he wants to as well.
I went inside BK & ordered at the counter. I asked if my burger would be made fresh or assembled from a pan of pre-cooked meat. The employee looked at me & replied: "I don't know, I just got here" 🙄 🍔 That was 5 years ago. lol

Numbers will jump but only for the promotion, things will go back to usual when the promotion ends.
being available for only a few weeks or a few months is only a promotion. It's not really bringing a value meal back.

I can make a better Whopper than BK, and a better Big Mac than McDonald's for less than half the price of a current value meal. Just cook at home people, it's so much better.
Buns are 3 bucks , ground beef is 2 bucks or if you buys made patties thats 15 or 18 bucks for 6 or 8 patties only , sauce 7 bucks , veggies 4 bucks , gas 10 bucks , add that up and tell me what's cheaper , a meal from bk or your burger you're cooking at home

To be open, 5 dollars is equivalent to 2.50 back in 2004 in terms of inflation. No meals were ever that cheap at McDonald's nor Burger King for 2.50. five bucks forever will bankrupt any mom pop restaurant owner because you're just paying for the material, not the labor or overhead.

A few weeks ago Burger King ran a special - 2 Whopper Juniors for $5. I thought the meat was missing and headed back to the store. I found it. Paper thin and much small around than the bun. I vowed to never eat there again. IS BURGER KING GOING TO MESS WITH THE SIZE OF THE WHOPPER TO SELL MORE? I think it is quite likely!

People all over were bitching and complaining about how that was making “unhealthy” junk food too popular driving up obesity.
