In Europe, Stableford tournaments are very common, allowing people with different handicaps to compete against each other
Which sucks, because there's always a couple of guys that have fake (too high) handicaps who take home the flowers 😂
Stableford and handicaps have nothing to do with each other? If a +3 handicap plays a 15 handicap in stableford, it's going to he a complete massacre.
The handicap system allows different level of players to play with each other. Not a game mode 😂😂

The brotherly love is epic. The shots fired by Sy are knee slappers and Micah doesn't flinch at any of it. For the next round i'd recommend adding points for the winner of the whole. if you play 1 v 1, the winner gets 1 point for winning, and if they win again on the next whole they get two additional points. just food for thought. the stableford games are still in their early days still.
Stableford is meant to benefit those that can score. Scoring should be:
Double -2
Bogey - 1
Par 0
Birdie + 2
Eagle + 5
Albatross + 8
24:10 a shot for the ages right there

A format that is widely played in Europe for over a century, especially in England. A softer more friendly form of golf scoring than medal (stroke) play that takes no prisoners although it does favour the higher handicappers!

Stableford has been around for over 100 years
we play this format for our money games every Saturday we call it the dog fight. and keep a point based handicap for everyone that you average your last 3 scores.
“There’s a tree right there”. Seriously laughed out loud and replayed it! You have to clip that for a short!
You need to spread out the points in Stableford so it isn't just stroke play. Something like 1 point par, 3 points for birdie, 5 points for eagle, then if you go over par, you start to lose points - either bogie -1, double -3, & triple -5, or you could just lose a point for each stroke over par, it's up to you. That's a really crazy & fun game to play!
The PGA used to have a tournament in Colorado called the Sprint International I think, they used a modified stableford similar to how you described.
Its a hdcp game.You assign each player a number like 30.If you get more than 30 points you get that many points.Most points wins.After the round you adjust your points depending on what you shot.Shoot over it goes up Under it goes down.Great game alot of fun
Stableford is a great scoring system, very common in the UK. Originally invented by Frank Stableford to keep players in the game after messing up early in a round. It is also a faster way to play if you pick up once you're out of the points scoring

In the UK we play more Stableford than anything else. Surprised it’s not more common in the US.
Adding you brother is a good move should use your hookup with tm to get him into the qi10and some 790s or 770s would be a cool fitting vid

In the UK, at my club we play this fore than any other game. Works well with different handicaps and allows the odd horror hole.

We play it in league,when high handicappers have a day they're almost impossible to beat. Couple birdies net eagles and a few pars net birdies they're styling.

Love the idea but you should make eagles and maybe birdies worth more points. Gives you the incentive to go lower. With the way you played in this video, the score will be the exact same as stoke play if you don't make double or worse (which is likely because you're both very good golfers)

You need to stagger the points. This is no different then stroke play.
Indeed: 18 - final score = normal stroke play score.. (with forgiveness on triple bogeys and worse)
Its designed to work with handicaps. If one of them gets a few shots versus the other, suddenly the lesser player gets a few extra points for scoring on the harder holes.
