@yungexileee you know, I love this song, but the overuse of the word "now" in the chorus throws me every time. I always thought it should be "Well I don't mean, to alarm you, but those toys are far to much for you. I shall take back, what is mine so there's one thing left to do now" cause the now now now just grates on me.
Seven years later and Nate is STILL the only singer to successfully use the melody of Gerudo Valley in something other than a rap. Hes always had mad talent and THAT'S why every new album is so highly anticipated. Its going to be a BOP

@Drengr8 the whole chorus he sings is to the tune of gerudo valley as well, it's very impressive since the melody is known for being quick paced!

Love how they used this song again for this ganondorf, so creative. When Zelda had doubt, link gave her COURAGE, when link was lost in memories, she gave him WISDOM, and when they had to face ganondorf a second time, they gave each other POWER
Not really. They gave eachother motivation, Zelda didn't really give him wisdom, just told him what to do, and Link didn't give her courage, she did that herself. If anything, the virtues are different. Ganon still launches tactical, militaristic attacks during the Calamity 3ven though he's "A mindless beast". Zelda makes a courageous sacrifice in both games. And Link's power is emphasized in BotW, AoC, and TotK more than any other Zelda games.

I've loved this song for years but holy shit, ganondorf's voice lines added to it put it to a whole new level 😍
Honestly, this and Hands of a Thief are my top two favorite songs that have ever been made. Hands of a Theif got me back into listening to music as a whole and drawing, while Evil King just gives me goosebumps listening to it. And the whole album itself gives you a new perspective with OoT. Can't wait for the next Zelda song you make!

Even though there are so many parts in the song that would fit greatly with cutscenes from the one of the main quests it's incredible how this was put together with no spoilers for the game, that's real talent there 👏👏👏

Super awesome song! I found it interesting that Gerudo Valley's leitmotif was used for the chorus of the song. Also, I didn't realize this was a new music video for an existing song. But yeah, I really enjoyed it, since this is the first time I've heard the song. Great work from you and Shawn.

What I like about this song is how ganondorf's lament juxtaposes with Link's life; He says that Link could never know what its like to be alone, but that's how Link grew up, as an outsider amongst his "people" in the kokiri.
As soon as I realized that he used Gerudo Valley and mixed it into the perfect song for Ganondorf just makes this song all the more better

It was written for ganon, just not this ganon, I think it was for the one of ocarina of time. Also, there are new quotes from the game that werent in the original.
