Patroonsfeest 2019: laudatio & speech Biram Dah Abeid

Each year as part of its Patron Saint's Day celebrations, KU Leuven recognises individuals for exceptional scientific, societal or cultural achievement. On 4 February, honorary doctorates were conferred upon human rights activist Biram Dah Abeid, pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha, physicist Eric Mazur, political philosopher Chantal Mouffe, and prenatal medicine expert Kypros Nicolaides.
The laudatio for Biram Dah Abeid was delivered by Student Council President Robbe Van Hoof.
