- Here it is, after 2 months of work, the best level I've ever made and also my first 2.2 level.
This is a cube gameplay only, do not expect a lot of gameplay since I wanted to keep the "liminal spaces" feeling as much as possible.

came here from nexus but as a former nerd of the backrooms mythos this whole level is sick as hell… love the way you captured the liminal space feel ESPECIALLY with the last sequence

Man this is actually incredible. I mean these arts are AMAZING, realisation is great itself, this is so sick and imo this just cant be lower than legendary. Your level is THE BEST PLATFORMER in the moment in the WHOLE game.

Hello ! I absolutely loved your level, and I wanted to warn you about a softlock : if you die (from room 666 or a restart) after having put the fuse, you can pull it back out, and not only does it never appear again, it also saves a checkpoint by doing so ! I think it would be great if you could fix it. Have a great day !

Greetings! Your level is really cool, I actually enjoyed playing it. Do You have any plans for making guide about this fascinating parallax effect? Or can You just share any sources for learning about this thing? Thank You!
I don't plan to make a guide on how to do that. But you can still got to the editor and see how it's done, you also have to know that the entire thing was made without any tricks or exploits like spu7nix does for his levels, I used the move trigger and area scale/move trigger to make this work. Took me so long to figure out how to use these triggers but once you get it the effect is pretty simple.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to make a video about this, in fact there isn't too much to say about the level since most of it is purely art. The level is on free copy so you can go to the editor to see how I made the enigmas or the 3d effects :)

Sure ! First is level 0, it's the lobby and the most known backrooms level. The door takes you to the second part of this level which is supposed to be a flat, then you noclip to level 1 which is the parking, after taking the elevator you enter level 5, the terror hotel. Then there is level fun :) with the partygoers that appear pacific (they're in fact not). The end is over part is Level ! Run for your life, then we have the end and level 9223372036854775807 which is the infinite stair.

Can I make a sequel to this? It's a concept I've had for a while but never really been able to use.
You can copy the level and do what you want (as long as you credit me) also I'm not planning any sequel so it's up to you to make "The backrooms 2" it will just be unofficial of course.

how did you make the perspective work so well?
I used the gradient trigger, the scale area trigger, the move area trigger and of course the classic move trigger, all of these are really useful for 3d and I'm sure the community will find even better ways to do that !
