They do have experience - they all met each other in Phantom Singer 2, but before this 2 of them (Mingyu and Woorim) formally trained as classical singers in university, and Doohoon was already a musical actor. Hyungho is the only one who never formally trained as far as I am aware, but he was the vocal of PITTA, an indie rock band.
From Forestella’s first mini album, “The Beginning World Tree”. Mingyu explained that the album tells a story about this universe that revolves around the World Tree. YHY recommended that the audience pay attention to the amazing universe they’ve created, and that the audience would understand their outfits. YHY felt it was on par with the universe behind Marvel movies to which the members laughed. Mingyu explained the 4 deities that protect the World Tree. Each of them represents one of the 4 elements. Doohoon is like the deity spirit that represents water. Mingyu represents air. Hyungho represents fire. Woorim represents earth. The mv tells the entire story with CG. The title track is “Save Our Lives” which is a literal title. The song was composed by Takatsugu Muramatsu who is a music director for Studio Ghibli, yeah! He has released many hit songs and they thought his style would suit Forestella. They wanted the song to cheer everyone up in the current situation. Stay hopeful and rise again even in the midst of adversity. The members worked with the lyricist to come up with the lyrics together. It’s rare to hear such a detailed explanation on Sketchbook. Forestella, always advancing in my eyes.
It is great to follow your detailed comments which follow what the Forestella and the composer wanted to illustrate. This poem ‘save our lives ‘ being a work of art goes beyond the Marvel world, it resonates with what each listener has in his/her mind and soul whatwith native culture… If it ‘speaks’ to the young generation across the world it is a wonderful meaningful song, hopeful indeed. I appreciate your ‘work of love’ I am as often a bit lost in these new albums, there are two booklets ‘moonlight ‘and ´sunlight, ´ I received ‘moonlight’ one through the big US company ( don’t need to advertise more.. but I ´m afraid this is my only solution to get the albums and shipping ‘s quite a lot, still it is worth having photos and very smart paging, the lyrics come out like a journey into another world..)perhaps I should try to get ‘booklet ‘sunlight ‘ to be able to understand the whole concept? What I liked in your summary is their sharing of working on lyrics too, I still think that they can compose as they are also fine musicians( I read KWR was still getting advanced music grades ) .
