I agree 100% with your review on Vanilla Vibes. My association is sundried vanilla. Dusty describes it also quite well. And yes, I also smell salt. It creates a more distanced vanilla, not a sexy in-your-face vanilla. Durability is excellent in my opinion. Up to 6 hours on my skin.
I see it rather on women than on men, it might be too sweet still for many.
I also have sunny side up and this scent is what I’d describe as „niche“. It confused me at first, after the third try, it had captured me. Sandalwood is quite striking here for me. The other components are mixed quite well. It’s very special and unique.
I have both - I love both - and to me they’re both quite different, but both fit best for spring and summer. And for women.

It is very nice variation of vanilla in Vanilla vibes, not boring or synthetic smell, I would even prefer it to Tom Ford Metallique, which is very nice but boring after while.
I have only tried Vanilla Vibes on paper but the salty note really reminds me of Calvin Klein Reveal. Have you tried that one? I like Reveal but on paper I’m not sure I would need both , have to try VV on skin.

I'm looking for a soft skin like scent for the winter. Do you think any of these two would work? I see in other places they are more spring/summer
For that Sunny Side Up would work beautifully, it's definitely a casual "skin" scent however I associate it more with summer and it might be too light for winter. Maybe this video about skin scents would be more helpful? czcams.com/video/ZfBpih8_Oi4/video.html
(Hereafter by SHP is definitely a wintery option) smells very similar to sunny side up (same beautiful vanilla pushed by modern musks but stronger)

If you like Replica’s By the Fireplace.. you will love Vanilla Vibes.. IMO airs the summer version .. and I find definitely unisex.. I love it and I’m not a huge sweet vanilla lover

I have NOT a perfume and I adore it, but I am afraid that nobody can smell it? 😮 My husbant goes creazy for that smell on my skin but only when he comes very close to my neck.
