Casio CT-X5000 - A demo of Piano, Organ, Guitar and Bass sounds + effects

  • As a reviewer explores the sounds in the CT-X5000, it quickly becomes apparent that it'll take several videos to cover everything! It's not that they are the BEST sounds I've ever heard, but they are very diverse and, importantly, they really emote. The piano section alone really sparks images of various genres and eras.
    This video looks at the most basic sound categories, and a link to a more general sound demo appears at the end.

    Having bought a CTX5000 about a year ago , overall it is a great keyboard with great AiX chip , sounds and rythms.. Just needed a more robust keybed and a colour touchscreen.. Also would love to see a 76 key version one day.

      The stock programmed organs are shit! Why can't casio get a real Hammond player to program some usable Hammond/Leslie sounds. I paid the extra for the mod button! Save your money and get the 3000 and a EH Lester K or neo vent. The pianos are really the best at this price point. All I have used Casio since the 80's! Come on Casio. I don't want to drag an extra keyboard around just for a passable Hammond Sound or spend hours tweeking. My 30 year old ensoniq dounds better!
      Please do a tutorial on it! I'm sure the keyboard has the capability!

    Does it have pre-recorded songs that teach you how to play them? Is this a teaching piano as well? That is what I am looking for.. one that shows you where to put your fingers and go along with a song. Does this have any program like that or can I add one to the piano.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  Před 3 lety +2

      In theory, yes - but I still wouldn't recommend this keyboard for a learner as it's so complicated to use ...a real pain to be honest! For a serious learner, I think the Yamaha PSR-E373 is a much better option. It has vastly superior feeling in the keys, comparable sounds and a much simpler operating system. As for song-learning, I've never seen a decent system built into a keyboard for that. It's better to use iPad apps or a proper teacher ...should do that myself, in fact! Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)

      @@gearfacts I know how to play lol I had a learning piano. I still have it actually lol It shows you where to put your fingers as you go along to the song. I learned a lot of songs that way. I have a Yamaha keyboard I bought over 15 years ago and it is still going strong but it is too big for me in my new home. That one is also hard to navigate but I managed lol Thanks for the info!

      And then if you saw his CTK-5000 video from a week ago you may have noticed that he called it a CT-X instead of CTK.
      Something tells me that some people actually can't differentiate the letters X and K.

    Sounds are Good... Better than the CTK Series... Styles are... Meh... Not very well arranged... On Board speaker System is loud and very nice... Operating System is aweful... I owned the CTX 3000... And used the CTX 5000 for a while... I gave the CTX3000 away to a guy in need for a Keyboard.... He is very happy with it... I wasn't... If Casio will rewrite their O S and make this CTX series user Friendly and rearrange the Styles, tgen. I would considering buy another one...
