After we heared that Chris Squire, the former member of Yes and one of the most creative bass players in the world died, we was really shoked. He was one of the musicians who brought me to Progressive Rock.
His passing away was the reason for this Acoustic Cover. Onward was one of the songs, that Chris wrote for the "Tormato" Album. We think it is a really lovley track and I rearranged it for DADGAD-Guitar Tuning.
R.I.P. dear Chris! You were one of the most important musicians of the Prog Era!

This is not just an excellent “cover,” this very well may be the greatest version of this song ever recorded. The triplet arpeggios on the guitar, the harmonics, drop D, & the alternate suspended note on the high vocal all sent chills down my spine. This version is very “Yes” but so “next level.” Thanks for sharing - it’s exactly what I needed to hear on the day I learned of Alan White’s passing. This is just gorgeous. 👍👏❤️

This indeed is a stellar performance and I know Chris and Alan share the greater rhythms, arpeggios, and harmonies of Heaven. I got into Yes as an 11 year old in 1971. I had never listened to anything like it before and was immediately hooked. Chris was a brilliant musician and is sadly missed. Great tribute. Love all your covers.
