It's one of those drum beats I've had in my head for 11 years now because I watched it so much back then. I literally just searched for it because it was stuck in my head.
@@getowtofheyah3161 DUDE I HAVE BEEN TRYNNA THINK OF HIS NAME FOR MONTHS AND I WAS DRIVING TODAY AND SAID THE TITLE IN MY HEAD RANDOMLY IM SO SATIFIED.. and sorry for all caps I wanted to show how much I meant it
This video when I was in high school is what made me decide that out off all the things in metal music, drums was the one I wanted to play. I come back now many years later to relive this amazing clip
If anyone wants to know. This is the drumming for the song Resist that is on As Blood Runs Black's upcoming album "Instinct". You can search for it here on CZcams to hear the actual song.
heel-toe doesn't allow the beaters to come as far back as 1:05. it's all ankle, people (Flat-Foot Technique) and triggers are NOT cheating. they clean up the sound. nothing more. there is no device that will make a drummer play faster other than PRACTICE. you can PROGRAM triggers to generate (x) amount of beats per hit (i.e. Rick Allen) but that's it.
im still watching this in 2012 and it blows my mind. ABRB goes through so many people but as long as lech is there ill listen to it. he is in my top 5 drummers ever, and he is on the top of that. him and joey jordinson are probably my too favorite for raw speed and metal but i mean damn he is god.
Hey now, even if he does use triggers, he uses them properly. You can CLEARLY see he is hitting that kick drum with lots of power when hes playing full speed. He is not using the triggers to have small leg spasms, barely tapping the head, to get a full kick sound. This guy is solid.
Btw, for all you guys information, the song he's playing is called "Resist" from their album instinct, if some of you didn't know that :) It's an awesome song!
Too many people are comparing drummers of different genres. Lech is fantastic in his own genre, and that's all that really matters. As for the thought of him leaving ABRB and "getting somewhere", Idk wtf you are talking about. A superb metal drummer in a superb and popular metal band - how is that not somewhere? He seems to be exactly where he belongs. Their latest album has become one of my all time favorites and I would be quite upset to see him leave the band. ABRB is extremely awesome.
As for the album itself, there wasn't one moment where I felt like pressing pause or taking a break. Each song has it's own personality and has great vocals, guitar riffs, and of course the almighty drums. Don't think for a second this sounds like the old ABRB because this is much, much better.
Anyone else try to have this video up and the one with Nick in the studio and play both videos perfectly together so it sounds like the song? Yeah me too.
Trust me, I have the DW9000's and that is them. The springs are inside the next to the pedal not on the outside and when the pedal goes up you can see a little black looking clip, that holds the drum key.
@SlipknotTaco Technically what it does is it's a special pad on the drum that senses a change in pressure caused by the beater, and it sends a midi signal through to the processor and replaces the sound with a sample of a bass drum, but ultimately you're right, it makes you no faster, it just makes it sound better and it makes the audio engineer's job that much easier.
Just got done listening to the new album and WOW is all I can say. This band just revived deathcore and proved why they pioneered the genre.Resist isn't even in the top 5 best songs on the album(and that's saying something).ABRB was a great band before but this album is going to make then renowned.
I must say, it shocks me just how many people talk about stuff they have NO CLUE about. Triggers DO NOT make your drum hit sound more consistent/faster/better. They just capture a signal from the bass drum. YES, if someone sets the module to make every hit sound the same, then it does, but if you want dynamics, it can do dynamics. What makes the kick hits the same is COMPRESSION. He's obviously just mic'd the kick and compressed the hell out of it to make the quiet hits louder. That's all.
Drunk again. And yet I watch
Hellll yeah🎉
Get drunk again and watch it again!!
@@anthonyprieto3240 aye aye captain!
Baked for me hell yeah brother
It's me. I'm drunk. And I still get this stuck in my head.
It's one of those drum beats I've had in my head for 11 years now because I watched it so much back then. I literally just searched for it because it was stuck in my head.
It’s been 2 years get drunk and post again about it

3 years wheres my drunk comment :(
I'm really stoned and same
2024 and still the best
Probably the best sounding snare i've ever heard for blast beats
Cytotoxin's drummer has a crazy snare too. Look up Lupus Aurora by them and you'll have your mind blown
10 years later still remember every hit ❤️
This guy can seriously be one of the best of all time but his band nowadays ughh we all want Allegiance 2 !!!
Coming up on 9 years since this was posted and I still just watch in awe 👌🏼
That double pedal sounds so beautiful
This video when I was in high school is what made me decide that out off all the things in metal music, drums was the one I wanted to play. I come back now many years later to relive this amazing clip
GOT IT!! buy vans shoes, be fast at double bass.
still coming here in 2019 to be amazed, lech, gotdamn
10 years later and still impressive as ever
august 4, 2016
Still Awesome!!!!
Who else liked this when it said "No Triggers!"
Leche has been one of my top five drummers. He's just phenomenal at what he does!
If anyone wants to know. This is the drumming for the song Resist that is on As Blood Runs Black's upcoming album "Instinct". You can search for it here on CZcams to hear the actual song.
0:18 - 0:39 has to be the grooviest fucking drum beat i've ever heard in my life, especially the double bass. dear lord.
guess who's drunk?
i listen to this as a lullaby before i go to sleep every night
Still fire . First heard this when it was new
76 million seconds have been spent accumulated by people watching this man bang his druma drums
quantizing = :(
oh yurr
Twenti too
Ohyuuuurrrrrr
9 years later. Still blow my mind!
he's not trying to go as fast as he possibly can... he's just doing what sounds good for the song.
heel-toe doesn't allow the beaters to come as far back as 1:05. it's all ankle, people (Flat-Foot Technique) and triggers are NOT cheating. they clean up the sound. nothing more. there is no device that will make a drummer play faster other than PRACTICE. you can PROGRAM triggers to generate (x) amount of beats per hit (i.e. Rick Allen) but that's it.
I like how loose he is while playing.
joshua smith Hes that damn good he doesnt even look like hes trying, it just flows so naturally.
I have seen this over 50 times and every time it gets better....
I still can't stop watching this video and it's been like 4 years straight. God damn sickest double pedal
Also does anyone else want to yell "Make.. this moment.. COUNT!!!" at the end of the video??
every fucking time
ABRB - Resist! ^_^
Well here I am. It’s been 11 years and I still can’t get this out of my head
He is the only reason I listen to As Blood Runs Black.
i remember when when i taught him how to play this
Proving that a song doesn't need anything other than Drums!!
Best sounding drum sounds I have heard!!! And the timing.. just.. Whoah!
I can't stop watching this
Gotta come back once in a while to pay respects
Drumming was great, but what was really impressive was the fuckin' sound. Such a deep dark tone. Perfect!!
love the smile he gives
2022 and I still occasionally pull up this video since it was first posted

shout out to watching it again in 2022
Dude, this was one of my first metal videos i ever watched. Now i'm 31 and hopefully i will be here again in 30 years 😅 🤘🏿
This was the metalcore drumkit anthem back in the days
i've been listening to this since it came out
You can tell the bass isn't triggered as the faster notes in between the more solid hits aren't as slappy. I like it!
Hey now, even if he does use triggers, he uses them properly. You can CLEARLY see he is hitting that kick drum with lots of power when hes playing full speed. He is not using the triggers to have small leg spasms, barely tapping the head, to get a full kick sound. This guy is solid.
the sound quality is so perfect !

best drum recording ive heared in a while
Who would dislike this?! if you play you can respect his incredible style. i wish i could give it more thumbs up.
I love showing this to people who have no idea this exists
Revisiting this gem
Jul/2022. Legends never die
It's so fast yet so clean. I love this

i like how his drum set up isnt over the top, and he uses all of em'
that snare sounds like gold.
your soul. incarnate in the form of solid gold. this is the only thing worthy to touch his feet.

could watch it over and over again..
he's just so amazing.. oO
Wow, for no triggers, that's some really tight bass drumming.

Probably one of the smoothest metal drummers I have seen. Good job man!
loving the double bass
its awesome that people coverd this just cuz lech is that sick.
🖤🖤🖤🖤 remember seeing this when I was much younger!
Damn that kick drum sounds soooooo good.

so this is where the masterpiece was recorded
14 people were evidently to jealous of his skill to admit they liked it
This would be awesome with triggers, but without triggers, it's almost Godly.
One of my top ten drummers.
@Nameless164 for me this is the perfect sound for a double bass. i love it very loud and very clean. almost as the same level as the snare...
the face he makes at the beginning is classic
Alway thought he was the best and still do.. hope one day ill be as good.

iv watched this at leas 4 times now, shit is sick son
need more studio videos
Damn that kick drum sounds soooo good!
I just synced this video up to the actual song. The drumming has such a different feel to it in context o_O
And still amazing of course.
I love the drumbass.
This kit sounds so amazing, especially with Lech behind it, haha.
His kick sounds amazing.
this video ain't getting old
gotta love dat snare sound...
Wow, that double bass is sick!!
theres alot of groove in this playing...its very tight
I must say, it shocks me just how many people talk about stuff they have NO CLUE about.

this still amazes me
Possibly the best death core sounds every and some of the best death core drumming 🤟🏻
Anybody who has ever recorded themselves playing drums knows that this is VERY impressive!
I always see this video in my head whenever i listen to resist
dude i've been playin drums for 4 months and i can tell it's not triggered. you can clearly tell the difference in the velocity of the hits
ABRB is kind of like a football team with their mvp being the punter in this case the drummer
It’s time for the comeback.
Breath taking stuff oh and happy birthday Lech!!!
amazing drum sound
ive watched this at least 100 times. this is so sick
god damn i love this snare!
his set sounds so clean!
Wow your kit sounds incredible. And your skillz are badass too !
