I love her two faces when she's singing : ó_ò and >_
are you serious, all these years i thought the girl's name was karmin!!!!!
Right ! Thats what i thought !
Me too! LOL~
lol xD
LOL, THE SAME HERE!! 😂
😂
the song is supposed to be "too dark" while being catchy as hell like that is the POINT of the song
people interpret songs differently. If you watched the end of the video she explains her interpretation of it. And she's an entertainer, she likes to experiment with her voice. Not many people can even sing as well as she does when she is NOT experimenting with her voice (i.e., singing properly), so I don't think it's a bad thing for her to use her vocal chords and make different sounds. It might come off as annoying to some people and that's a shame. Nice cover.
Words cannot express how proud I am of Amy and Nick :) I remember watching their covers thinking, "how are they not famous!?" I don't have to ask that now! Haha.
I came here because I miss Karmin
You can still listen to the couple under Qveen Herby
Ling live the Qveen
Same
I love her energy.
I know right? She's the only person who seems like she's "really" singing..
After reading some of these comments,I remember why I dont usually read them .Its refreshing knowing that theres still decent people like these two making music .I for one ,applaud them .
0:55 ''oustrun my bullet'' lmao hahah
I wish I could love somebody as much as she loves herself.
i loved Karmin so much
I miss them, but I love Qveen Herby
I really like how its such a scary song (if you look at the lyrics) and they twist it and make it really cute :)
That's the problem with it for me
I love Amy's voice and thats the Era when pop was not so gritty. Good cover
@@Formula606 Exactly. The song is about mental health problems and school shootings. There's no way you can make that a "cute" song.
Finally listen to the lyrics?!
she has a fun voice I like that she expresses everything when she's singing.
I performed with them in Ft Lauderdale their both two nice individuals...
Wow...I love this version of the song!
Nancy Madore Good. I would encourage them.
Great cover!
***** You too! Thanks!
Try search cover this song from "fatin", I more enjoy the version than this.
Does her facial expression, and her movements piss anyone else off?
+Ariel Seager It's Amy, she is always doing that ^^
+Ariel Seager It's Amy, she is always doing that ^^
Ditto. Love the voice, but detest the chippy bouncy ball mimicry. I simply can't come at such vulgarity, making hash of and ghoulish gestures to a psychopathic killing spree.
she's having fun. I like it. lol
yesh xD
She‘s Qveen Herby now!
Damn.
They turned the foster the people'song into the Glee Show.
lol
Seriousley, lol this was as kitch as it gets smh
Forever my favourite comment😂
So true lol it sucks
I agree that this seems like a glee thing lol. I don't hate it though like I hate glee
+MrOverdriverr Yeah, if you stayed until the, end you would know they did it on purpose. They wanted to change it up. She sees the song in a different perspective.
All you people critizing Karmin, they are very talented and this cover was very well done. To make it in the music industry you have to jump out of your comfort zone and do something that is different and refreshing. I believe they have acomplished this task and have done a very good job. Congrats guys.
I don't understand everyone's problem, I think this covers amazing and yeah, the songs deep, but there's no need to hate on Karmin
Cat Walker 2:10
+Cat Walker She fucked up the lyrics at 0:52
That doesn't matter, if it was their own song it would be different. I still think they did great.
+MLGRACCOON lol she said outrun my gun twice
2:28 You see that shit? That is NOT a good cover, that is absolute fucking shit.
These guys are amazing live! Serious talent.
this is my favorite version of this song :D Always and forever Karmin for daaaayyyyyssss
Can we all forget about the "story" behind it and just appreciate that they could take such a "dark" song and make it into something different? That's the real talent.
After seeing all the hate... Am I the only one who's really digging Amy's look?
Now I'll really enjoy the original.
+Lana Muss I'd
same
+Lana Muss Now i'll really love jayme dee's cover
+John Roberts Right in the teeth? did you see her hair???
LOL
I don't find the cover bad. I think it's pretty cool. I don't find it awful in any way. It's nice to hear a different version of the song every once in a while.
I just luv you guys' music. Never stop following the 'music'
First time hearing this band and really enjoyed this cover! She has such a powerful voice.
Quando escuto essa música só lembro do meu ensino médio em 2012-2013.
How do you NOT love them?
I really enjoyed this! Especially how it ramps up at the end.
for those of you who didn't even watch the rest of the video, she was smiling because she interpreted the song as she risen above the people who used to make fun of her.she is fully aware of the original meaning but this was KARMIN and their portrayal of the song.NOT foster the people's
Love the way she attacks a song!
Jesus, everyone needs to chill in the comments. Everyone is freaking out because of the mistake at 0:55. Yes, while they could've edited that mistake out and redo it correctly, it's only a minor setback. You really should concentrate on the entire song.
I literally didn’t notice until you pointed it out hahah
Vi seguo da quando sono piccolo, e per me, siete sempre i migliori ! From Italy !
I keep watching this like a thousand times.
I love it!
it's kind of stupidly funny how upbeat they made this
I've heard of this duo before but never looked into their music but after this cover I am definitely checking them out, now this is real talent!
1 of my favourite songs ... and Karmin made a beautiful cover ....
The haters are all emo kids.
This was an OKAY cover.
it's a perfekt cover !
Pia Lüdecke Just OK cover she doesnt fit with singing but she into a rap!
@@dream4ification just like your English
You guys rock! Really love this version too !!
OMG! Ilove you Karmin so far this song was my fave ! sounds so good!!
hating in 2024 ❤
There's no comment on here about how this was a mashup between Pumped Up Kicks and Don't Stop Believing? I know those piano chords anyway. Also, her "scat break" towards the end was the guitar solo to Don't Stop Believing. I enjoyed it.
Nostalgia😢
i searched her from a long time...finally ❤🤩
On the second chorus verse, Any sang "You better run, better run, outrun my bullet"
But Nick sang the correct verse "You better run, better run, faster than my bullet"
And you can obviously notice this because they sang opposite things
She sung the same.😂😂😂
Put an upbeat twist? How dare you say that song is not upbeat what the fuck?
The original song is a bit depressing. I will admit, though, that the original, somewhat-depressed, tone does fit the lyrics better.
It wasn't depressing at all, its a spacious tone to get lost in with uplifting beat while tackling important subject matter that people still overlook today.
By upbeat, they probably mean that they gave the song a warmer feeling. The original isn't depressing, but it's more mellow and smooth and Karmin made it energetic.
Holy Walrus as if there already isn't enough "energy" emphasized on gun control and bullying already
They clearly, and with tongue firmly in cheek, swap meanings when they slip in the Journey riff. A that point, it becomes almost a Glee parody! Well done!! x^D
I like the last part, when nick went in on the piano, and Amy was doin that harp sound, I got goosebumps, they are mad talented
Amy has the most expressive eyes ever! It's amazing!
4:10
Just because you interpreted it that way doesn’t mean that’s what Foster the People was going for, the lead singer, Mark Foster, wanted to bring awareness to the issue about school shootings. Mark wanted to get inside the head of a school shooter starting with the lyrics “Daddy works a long day, he’s coming home late yeah he’s coming home late.” And “He’s got a Rolled cigarette hanging out his mouth he’s a cowboy kid.” What did you think Mark Foster meant by the fucking lyrics “All the other kids with the pumped up kicks better run better run, and OUTRUN MY GUN”???
You were so good and your parner
She sings really good
Amazing Duo and entertaining as well. She doesn't piss me off at all , she is just artistic and loves acting too.
definitely fabulous ! welldone Amy&Nick
who gives a shxt if its too upbeat, karmin, keep up the good work!!
am i the only one who thought her name was Karmin till i saw this
Your Not Alone.. :p
Wow that's amazing guys
!!
Love the insertion of Don't Stop Believing in there.
Still prefer the original.. The instrumental and the arrangement are the key things in this song. She has a really cool voice though.
At :41 sec in she winks at the camera when the line she sings is "he's coming for you, ya he's coming for you" wtf
that's a squint sir bacon.
Absolutely luved it ^^
Love it cant hear it enough....
Melhor correr
Oh Dylan my boy, still alive?
Did the piano switch to journey on the bridge? lol
I've never heard of tis lady but she got a new fan
awesome! i like the "pumppumppump" part awww so cuttee
2:28 made me quit and go watch sparrow of the wind
IKR that was fucking horrible mate
EminAnimE1 lol... almost a year later i am drunk... probably like i was when i posted the original comment... heard 2:28 and thought the same thing, scrolled down... saw my original comment... and i'm off to watch sparrow of the wind.
+antongirdeux07 hahaha good to know
he is hot
Love the song, and really love this cover.
saw them at Mall Of America. They are amazing!!
It actually doesn't bother me how happy the vocalist sounds and acts in this cover, because she looks crazy enough to not care while committing manslaughter or even murder, perhaps she'd even enjoy it. Her eyes look like they're about to pop out of her head half of the time.
I understand that she's attempting to interpret it in another way, but it's extremely difficult to interpret lines like "You'd better run [ . . . ], outrun my gun." and "You'd better run [ . . . ] faster than my bullet." as anything other than something along the lines of 'I'm about to shoot you and I doubt you're faster than the speed of my bullet, so chances are, you'll die'.
In the end of this video, Amy (the vocalist) explains that she can't believe that it would be that dark so therefore, she doesn't believe it to be dark, which is personal incredulity, a logical fallacy. Just because you can't believe it's true and because it makes you uncomfortable, doesn't mean it can't be true.
Foster the People (the band who made "Pumped Up Kicks") has stated that this song was originally about a young person who had been socially isolated for a long time and who now considers revenge to those who never showed him love or compassion.
[Check the Wikipedia article if you want to know more about that. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumped_Up_Kicks#Composition_and_inspiration]
Obviously, you're still allowed to interpet this in your own way, I just wanted you to know that what was written above was what the song was originally intended to be about. Foster the People wanted to spread awareness about the issue of mental illness of homocide among young people. Anyway, have a good day and good luck with your music!
This is what you see when you first get to hell
Oh that's amazing.
I love the way they make it their own
That's not a party song -.- it's about shooting in school ... Dont "highschool musical it"
good, butpersonally I find the Noah cover better, especially the deep version that just came out
Foster The People feat. Noah - Pumped Up Kicks (Aerokind Edit)
Love their originality.
Damn ._. Don't Stop Believin' piano break was unexpected and awesome hahahha still haven't recovered from Glee ending in March
i can't press unlinke button more times, sucks
Is dat a storage place in her head
Wer she stores stuff
it's where she stores her secrets.
lol
AMAZING i love it!!!
I love this so muuuch omg it's amazing. It's realy better than the original. You Make my day. From France xx
HATEFUL COMMENT
2:18 wtf
I love this version!!! The version by the band "boy" is great too.
LOVED THIS COVER !!!!
Ok, they can sing, but that song is not a sweet, pop dobbie oggie song, is a dark song where their voices can't translate that. Not a good cover, because of the lack of darkness.
The original song hardly exudes "darkness."
but it is cover, the point of cover is to make song your's not to sing like orginal song
Your obviously not a real fan.😒 mark himself said the song was a song to listen to and dance around to.
Yeah, the whole point of the song is the juxtaposition between the melody and the lyrics...
These guys are way too peppy
And your way too negative...
love the don't stop believing parts!
I love this it was so amazing!!
see looks like a little fishy aaa
Melanie Martinez is 100% more better
Meh Eric and dylan were good
There is no need to use more in your sentence by the way :) 100% better is correct.
No she's not. Please stop lol
YES SHE ISSS
If thats the case then why not just watch her instead
Wow. As always an amazing job. I like this better than the original!
Good job, keep up good work.
lol they obviously don't even know what the song is about
Yeah that's my problem with this.
Trust me .... don't go to school tomorrow
... true
It's to bring awareness to people about and school shootings (not just one in particular) and the song was written to get into the mind of that person's point of view and see what goes on in their mind. The song gives off feelings like isolation, depression, or signs of sadness and not having anyone to be there for you, according to the lyrics. Which can be reasons that may lead people to partaking dangerous actions. Don't mean to sound rude (sorry if I do come off as rude) but just trying to clarify things. Although it was inspired by the by one shooting.
can u stop being so happy this song does not work when you try make it happy, cover spice girls or something if u wanna be happy
clearly you're not happy...
well no, but why would that make you think that, it was just a comment i dont know how you can tell this, thanks for noticing
daliksheppy ....if you're happy and you know it clap your hands? :D
Stfu
