    What I'd love to see in the range is a Bream Buster Classic 6'9" original rod with cork grips, gold bindings etc. Something that pays homage to the early days of Ian's rod building designs with his latest technology integrated. What's old should be new again!

    Jim Hosie (ACT). The GrubFreak Exist15 2003-H is a dream plastics pairing and scores my vote. The FlatsFreak would be awesome for throwing cranks or even surface. The extra 7’9 length would enable greater water coverage, especially from a kayak, which would be ideal for waterways like St George’s Basin. Millerods have the rep. Just go to any bream tournament and most guys either have them or are evolving to them (I’m in the second category). Idea for a new Millerod? Perhaps the “FlingFreak” a 9 or 10 footer for those who want to go extra big? There’s nothing on the market that I’ve seen like this unless you go full custom. Thanks for sharing your babies mate. Always learning. One question I have - if you were stranded and could only have one of your setups - which one would it be?

      Hey Jim, thanks mate! Re: FlingFreak idea - you thinking still a light estuary rod or something for the beach etc? And if I was to choose only one - I’ll take the Brawler combo personally. It’ll throw a 1/16th grub, do hards, big vibes, crabs and muss, as well as surface!

    • @jimjim5245
      @jimjim5245 Před rokem +1

      @@PaulMalovFishingfrom a marketing/usefulness standpoint could go either direction. A longer rod specialising in throwing light cranks/plastics further for the beach/shore fisho could be useful. Though it was a podcast from Doc Lures with Greg Reid where he talks about throwing surface lures at the Basin with custom rods up to 10’6 that had me looking around without success. Perhaps it could do both.

    I love the look of the bassfreak M, would be unreal for fishing tighter structure where you can’t let the fish have too much line and you need to winch them out.
    I would love to see a 6’10” to 7’ 4-7kg baitcaster rod, suited for river fishing for natives

    Awesome line up of MillerRods. I love the GrubFreak setup, given I’m fishing mostly with lighter soft plastics. The new FlatFreak also looking good for land based option. One thing that I love to see more from MillerRods are more production of true mid-joint rods, that is like the new FlatFreak but on other models, like Grub/Blade/Twitch Freak. Given the new techs around the feel of 2 pieces can be very similar to 1 piece.
    Thanks. Andre - VIC

    Very informative video Paul. I live and fish on the Noosa River and tend to chase various species of trevally such as Diamond Trevally, Cale Cale and Golden Trevally using 6-8lb line. I would enjoy using a micro jigging rod that I could use 5-10gm jigs and soft plastics on around deeper marinas and bridges. Byron A, QLD

    I think if I only had one rod to pick from I’d have to go the grub freak as I’ve always found when nothing else is working a well presented plastic ie a grub will in most cases be to much for the old humble bream to resist 😎😎 great vid mate !

    Thoroughly enjoy that. I recently purchased the Bass freak, if work commitments would allow me to get off the grid and into the seasons action I would be stocked. Good feedback Re reel ratio on the Bass freak set up.

    • @PaulMalovFishing
      @PaulMalovFishing  Před rokem

      Hey Bailey, I’d probably suggest a 3000 sized reel - it will balance a little better on a Vibefreak. With that kind of Combo and ~30lb braid you’ll be able to knock over a lot of species

    My favourite out of your collection would have to be the Finesse Freak. That'd suit my style of fishing the most.

    You don't have it there but my favorite millerods would have to be the switch freak UL. It's just so versatile from yellas, bass and bream.
    I'd like to see a lighter baitcaster rod in the range just as I prefer them over spin.

    From VIC, and would like to see a shorter and lighter baitcast for cod out of the yak in tight rivers. 6' to 6'3 max similar action to the one freak but lighter...

    Well that is an awesome line up you have there, I'm slowly trying to built up my fleet of high end rods and reels and after watching this vlog I think the the Flats freak would make a great addition to my line up or a twitch freak so those 2 are my favourites in your line up.

    Spectacular video Paul, gees you've got a very nice collection of rods there. I'd have to say my favorite rod out of the lot would probably be the Blade freak, I like a nice backbone, enough to pull decent fish out of structure, and I like a nice light tip for flicking lures around and also for accurate casting. would be interesting to try out a bit of a longer rod like the Flats freak as I've only ever fished with rods around the 7 foot mark. watch out guys coz I'm coming for that Flats freak 🤞.
