Esperaza sunday market. Marché d'Espéraza. France.

Très réputé, à l'ombre des platanes de la Place de la République, sur la petite placette Rouget de l'isle, Quai Jean Jaurès et s'est étendu , Rue Gambetta et au square du 08 mai il attire de plus en plus de touristes mais aussi d'habitants de communes voisines
This must surely be one of the best markets around on a Sunday morning. it has the usual market stalls typical of France but there is an eclectic mix of "new age" stalls selling wholefoods,arts and crafts, African style clothes,essential oils,etc. The people thronging to this market are the usual punters along with many hippies,old and new. Cafes, bars and music make the atmosphere a sheer pleasure. All this in a beautiful valley on the banks of the river Aude.
