I just climbed the mountain 2020, got my video game to a point where I can make money, employ people and help people. No as I look to the next path to take to help others with my company, I have a great vision from on top of a mountain. However, my vision is blind compared to God's vision. So God, guide me in my paths so that I can lift others up and on the path of Jesus.
This is the hymn that always brings me home to our Lord. I was a soldier, it was our Regimental hymn. I fought earthly battles, rightly or wrongly. Now I fight spiritual battles daily within. This hymn gives me strength. In Christ alone my hope is found.

There have been times that my diginity has been almost non existant. I then think of this song and realize that it isnt about all the things ive done wrong but what christ did right. The third stanza where it says be thou my battle Shield was not in my hymnal. I am so glad to hear this verse for the first time. Lord You Are My Sword my dignity my delight my shelter and Hightower and power of my power.
The verse is based on St Paul's letter to the Ephesians CH. 6 where he writes about putting on the whole armour of God - the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit and the shoes of the gospel of peace.
It's difficult for me to sing this song...I like it so much...that I usually go to tears...many times I have to just listen to the song...maybe one day..I will get to sing it without my throat constricting and weeping.

I love this hymn. We've recently sung this in Korean in the church where I attend here in South Korea. I cry when I hear it but from my own shortcomings, wasted time, missed opportunities and knowing by far the best yrs if my life are gone. It cuts me to the quick to know I have had such knowledge and conviction for over 35 yrs and havent been faithful in secret, all-important ways...and knowing how many of the things he had for me will never be.

I need to remember that the focus should be on Christ, and the christian lifestyle will naturally follow. course. It's exhausting trying to follow rules when you don't know or care about the master, and the master doesn't know you. So I pray "Be Thou my vision Lord". Only you will make me happy.
I fasted for 10 or 12 days and as I was reading The Holy Bible, the words came alive to me. Afterwards one of my relatives walked in and I saw her in the spirit I saw that all the name brand bags she was purchasing was to fill the emptiness in her heart. So I decided to go into my bedroom to pray for her, and as I prayed and opened up my mouth, The Holy Spirit fell on me like fire, and I started to speak in tongues. I've never been the same person after that, JESUS is LORD.

The third stanza where it says be thou my battle Shield was not in my hymnal. I am so glad to hear this verse for the first time. Lord You Are My Sword my dignity my delight my shelter and Hightower and power of my power.
The verse is based on St Paul's letter to the Ephesians CH. 6 where he writes about putting on the whole armour of God - the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit and the shoes of the gospel of peace.

This song was sung at my parents wedding. We had found the tape recording of the event, including the song. And just today, this was performed at our church. And again during the offering. I got to see my mom singing along softly with her eyes closed, clearly remembering her wedding and enjoying it

I love this hymn. We've recently sung this in Korean in the church where I attend here in South Korea. I actually love singing in Korean despite it being my second language and requiring me to think so hard about what I'm singing, but regardless of language, this is a beautiful hymn, and one I love to sing.

It's exhausting trying to follow rules when you don't know or care about the master, and the master doesn't know you. So I pray "Be Thou my vision Lord". Only you will make me happy.
I fasted for 10 or 12 days and as I was reading The Holy Bible, the words came alive to me. Afterwards one of my relatives walked in and I saw her in the spirit I saw that all the name brand bags she was purchasing was to fill the emptiness in her heart. So I decided to go into my bedroom to pray for her, and as I prayed and opened up my mouth, The Holy Spirit fell on me like fire, and I started to speak in tongues. I've never been the same person after that, JESUS is LORD.
We are just so blessed to have a heavenly Father whom we can depend on in all aspects of our lives.
