Danny Howells has been a fixture in the house music scene since the late ’90s, earning a reputation as a “DJs’ DJ” for his unique style and steadfast commitment to authenticity. Unlike the fleeting flavor-of-the-month DJs chasing trends like moths to a strobe light, Danny’s carved out his own sonic niche. No pre-fab, radio-friendly fluff here. In a recent chat with EG, Danny opened up about his approach to music. “I’ve never cared much about trends,” he admitted. “For me, it’s always been about finding and playing music that truly moves me.”
His latest episode, EG.992, is a perfect example. It’s a collision of old favorites and fresh discoveries, like Franck Roger ft. Shawn Chappelle - ‘Enchanted (Fred Everything Dub Remix)’ and Axel Boman’s dreamy ‘Moon Dancer.’ Each track in the mix reflects Danny’s impeccable taste and his knack for building a narrative through a sublime and sometimes relentless music selection.
