- Are you curious what the locals eat in St. Thomas, USVI? Yea, we were, too. So rented a car and drove all over the island to try some of the best local foods this tropical paradise has to offer. From a traditional snack called a Johnny Cake served with the greatest view in the world to a dive bar that proudly proclaims to be the "best parking lot bar in the world", we have something for everyone. And because it's okay to be a tourist, we also hit up the top attraction in the US Virgin Islands, the world famous Mountain Top, for a stellar banana daiquiri while overlooking the beautiful Magens Bay. The daiquiris are definitely still good! We figured they wouldn’t be good because it’s such a touristy spot but were pleasantly surprised when we could taste a healthy amount of rum in it 🍹

Fully agreed! Duffy’s is fantastic and was a highlight of our trip. It’s such a locals bar that is so welcoming and fun. And that drink list is incredible!
@@micalebgoeswest my wife and I found it last June while in St Thomas. We had been to the island 3 other times but paid no attention. We ended up with all the souvenir cups from Duffys 😂
@londawg3844 those are good souvenir cups to have! We got a couple of shot glasses there and they’ve become our favorites 😎
Next time try the bars and restaurants in French Town. My all time favorite is "Hook Line and Sinker" ❤

Great video, that drive up is very scary but great views. Driving there in general is pretty sketchy overall but also kind of fun. I have the best hole in the wall breakfast spot close to red hook.
That drive up was so scary! However, it was absolutely worth it. Those views down are just incredible. What’s the name of the hole in the wall breakfast spot in Red Hook? Those are our favorite kinds of places! And thanks so much for watching!

You guys are always finding the good places. Haha we had some scary drives in our trip to st Lucia last year. It was only one lane and very bumpy. Banana drinks are the best. So jealous! What a view! We don’t have a lot of talents, but we are proud of our ability to find good food! It sounds like your St. Lucia drives were very similar to our St. Thomas one. That driving is scary but worth it. We are members of a vacation membership that is affiliated with Wyndham so we end up using their properties quite a bit. We really love the ones we have tried so far. Thanks so much for watching!

The Mountain Top banana daiquiri place is about a 20 minutes drive west of Margaritaville Resort. We rented a car when we were there, but there were plenty of taxis around the island so it shouldn’t be hard to get one for the round trip. The road up that mountain is equal parts fun and terrifying to drive 😀

Umm is the Meagans Bar Grill at the bottom of the mountain? Same area? I may even try The Shoreline Bar &Grill? Once again Thx for your video!
That mountain is steep so just prepare yourself for the drive, but the daiquiri and view is so worth it 😀. The grill at Magens Bay is located all the way at the bottom, so it’s not the same area as the Mountain Top but it’s not a long drive. The food at the grill was really good and they also had a full bar. And we loved the Shoreline so we hope you get a chance to go! It’s a hidden gem. We really appreciate you watching and wish you a wonderful trip!

We stayed at the Margaritaville Vacation Club Resort by Wyndham and we loved it. But there are so many options on the island. We liked the Margaritaville because it was family friendly, beachfront, and has 2 great pools. I’ve included the link to our Margaritaville review if that helps. We hope you have a wonderful trip!
