No Shame in losing the belt. The journey to get there is hard enough. CKB boys and the coaches are forever legends. Everyone has downtime before they get up again. TAUZEMUP is coming up, leshgooo. Awesome interview Tony.
These comments let’s not forget this is the fight game. Very proud of our fighters and the teams representing our region. Thanks for the content Tony. #PedroArmy
We shall never know what the gameplan was but I believe taking Volk out of the mid range and putting him in Izzy's range was the first mistake. Volk is the best mid range champion in modern era, he was playing in and out of those ranges beautifully but he made a mistake against a wrong opponent. I just hope Volk is okay.
@@Hadouken1232 Because Alex won the 1st round without causing Ilia any danger at all, you classify that as Ilia losing the fight! What are you smoking! Ilia was working him out in the 1st round and once he worked out Volk he put him to sleep!!
@@matrix35 Ya but on the score cards Ilia was down on points what are you smoking no one is arguing that Ilia didn't win. If Ilia Doesnt knock him out in a 5 round fight do you think Ilia would still win the fight because i dont think he would
@@matrix35 You dont have to be smoking anything to know that Ilia was down on points. If Ilia isnt able to knock him out in the rematch do you think he would win a 5 round fight because I dont
I didn't think Volk would win if he couldn't slow Topuria down in the first two rounds with some grappling/clinching, to take the edge off the speed and power coming back from Topuria..Volk fought in 4 championship fights in 12 months..You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that kind of a schedule isn't giving yourself the best chance to win, it's just common sense..Volk is a mortal man like any other, despite what his ego might say, and what his team might endorse..There is the race with the clock too. The window to create generational wealth, slams shut quickly.. Looking forward to the rematch, with a less gun shy Volk hopefully..
This interview was just gibberish I love CKB Team but when you guys are shown up you look puzzled and stumped. Scores to settle: Izzy vs Strickland. Volk vs Topuria, Hooker vs Everyone he lost. My mate has told me that he reckons CKB will never get a belt again as you don't have answers for your obstacles. I am 50/50. We need some wins Team.
CKB lead by this arrogant clown are always in denial after losses, full of contradictions and disrespecting opponents so the fact his team are getting what they deserve is no surprise and is well deserved!!
lately CKB coaches have been making mistakes. First with Izzy & now with Volk. Those mistakes costed them & their champions. Whats happening anyway? Any next mistake?
Bro stfu they lost to good fighters ..it's not your local tournament where they fighting cans it's top of the food chain fights .it's not so easy to get to the title let alone defend it as much as Izzy and Volk. There's only one way down from the top one mistake can cost you..take sean for example how long did he defend the title to give you an example of how easy it's not..keyboard warriors like you think it's easy ..clowns. The coaches here take ownership of their fighters but at the end of the day it's the fighter in their. Not the coach .even tho I believe they do follow the coach .. especially these guys ..but don't act like these guys didn't defend it for years and the longest in the modern era.

A little disappointing hearing Eugene speak nonchalantly about the amount of rest Volk needs. 2 serious concussions in a 5 months span needs to be taken more seriously. In order to train for his last fight he had to be sparring less than 2 months after the first serious concussion. Who knows how many minor concussions he took in that training. This is serious, it goes beyond the current symptoms you're showing, it can really affect you later in life. He needs at least 8 months no sparring, preferably 12 months. But we all know that's not going to happen.
100% but problem is he’s not getting any younger, so is a tough balance between getting that recovery but making the most of the time he does have left in his prime
I get what you’re saying but I don’t think it’s the case that Eugene is being nonchalant. It’s not his role to discuss medical issues when he’s not a medical professional, and on top of that, I think he knows that whatever he say may be picked up and misinterpreted by other media and get back to the UFC, and this could jeopardise Volk’s chances of getting a rematch.
@@lambsauce9544 Considering I'm in the medical field with a masters from NYU and studying for my doc, I know a little something. Besides all that, just open your eyes and look at the many retired fighters/ boxers in their 50's who sound worse than Joe Biden when they speak, that's all the proof you need to know that brain trauma is as serious as it gets

Always good to hear from Uncle Eugene!
Volks next fight she be for a belt. But let Ilia fight Movsar or Ortega and give Volk the winner Q4 this year. He needs a long break.

Surely Pedro gets re-signed with a win/finish
That hurt when Volk lost but that's what it is when being a fight fan hopefully he does the rematch
Please get Dricus and Izzy on the ultimate fighter and make it NZ/AUS VS AFRICA!!
THE WAY CITY KICK BOXING HAS HANDLED IZZY AND ALEXS CAREERS SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO PERFECT TEAM IN MMA.
Topuria knocks Volk out in the first round in a rematch. Ilia is the new generation of MMA fighter. His skill, speed and power are next level .
nah Ilia was losing the fight before the KO. Very winnable fight for Volk
