These are great speakers at this price point. I ended up buying its big brother the Evoke 50. I am very happy with it, its sound has a sense of scale that I didn't expect. Plus, the bass is fairly strong. The Evoke 50 has a power handling rating of 260W which as I have read if you are mostly listening to light dance stuff and jazz, if your amp has 1.6x of that at 4 ohms it should be plenty. But, if you are into heavy metal or techno, people say you may need up to 2.5x. I think if your amp has around 500W at 4 ohm, it should be enough. At the moment, I am driving them with the Roksan Blak integrated, so I would say I am down on power. But, if I don't push it, it still sounds pretty decent. Will be looking to upgrade my amp soon. At the moment, I am considering the Gryphon Diablo 300 or the Pass Labs INT-250. But, should I choose to make one step before moving to a true high end integrated like the ones mentioned, I think Musical Fidelity M6si500 or M8xi could be an option, I am not too sure. If you have any interesting suggestions, would love to hear them.😃
First of all, wanna thanks you for your plenty analysis of pairing amps. In spite of insufficiency in authentication of correlation between W and practical driving power, power of amps is very critical factor as you've said. Your Evoke 50 speakers has huge potential. however, I thinks those amps you've mentioned are a little excessive for your speakers. Why don't you consider damping (not only damping factor but also real damping power in listening) of amps?
@@wineaudio2004 I am not entirely sure what you mean by "damping power in listening"? With my current amp, Roksan doesn't even list its damping factor which I suppose must be very low. The reason I listed those other amps is there really isn't much offering on the market in between the Roksan Blak price point to the high end integrated price point. The only brand/amps that I can think of that has more power than the Roksan Blak and are like half way to the high end integrated price point is Musical Fidelity such as their M6si500 and M8xi.

Just sound, from their own structure and assemble quality. And the driver units are not the same.
