Hi, Samantha’s dad here. Thanks for the feedback!
we will be watching her career with great interest
No way she's natty, she's dominating that weight! Fake weights spotted! 😂 Samantha made my day, adorable!
funniest thing i've seen on here
Proper little cutie mate, tell her not to pull up with the neck so much. Always better to keep the spine as straight as possible.
Thanks for sending that in :D amazing to see a toddler automatically go into a perfect deadlift starting position
LOL the 12kg lifter. Love how Bryce kept a straight face through it all
7:43 what a beast . Give her 2 years and she will be kicking fift graders with no effort
Is DPF a tested federation ? I think Samantha might be milking.
This 1 made my day
When a 2 year girl do Deadlift better than me...
I quit
why does DPF sound like a real thing
Because it's impossible to keep track of how many federations there are
I'm glad I watched till the end 11/10 would do it again
Finally hit 315 yesterday on bench, these videos helped me so much
Definitely helped me as well. 315 is good weight.
oh man the dream! Hopefully i can hit that in 2020 : O
Congrats bro
@@Manettvibrantedid u hit it? 😅
@lennon3712 I did! but in early 2022 lol.
I started benching twice a week and my bench went up like 20 pounds in around 6 weeks lol
Man, that guy in the thumbnail is a handsome sumna with a lovely power belly.
@PEOPLE FLYS AND SHIT people have different ways to get into their benching position. If u look closely he is retracting and depressing his scapula to get a tight back. He is also setting his feet down as far back as they can go whilst being flat on the ground.
@PEOPLE FLYS AND SHIT although he didnt need to to any of that cause as soon as he got set in his position he lost his arch, and tightness in the back😂
POWER BELLY!🤣 That's your whup ass tank brotha, be proud!
HAHAHA that second to last video, good way to sneak in some humor.
Well that was adorable!! Love FCF you are always so technical, it was really nice to throw some humor in there. I really appreciate what you do.
Big props for adding Samantha! Way to have a sense of humor. Loved it
I think Caleb needs to focus on pulling the slack out of the bar and being patient off the floor . I think he could externally rotate his feet too and try to focus being “ in his feet” . As well as trying to pin his armpits shut to try and maintain better upper back position throughout the pull
Honestly, the young kid with the squat had great form. I just think that plateau is in his head. He looks like he's completing those squats with little effort. He just needs to add the weight and if he's really worried, have a spotter or raise the spotting bars
I think he's losing a bit of tightness at the bottom of the lift because as he's getting closer to parallel his descent is getting quicker and he loses control. Paused squats with a controlled descent while trying to load the quads could help to make his technique more explosive from the bottom up.
@Caleb: I have/had the same issue when switching from conv. to sumo. What I found these last weeks is that pointing the toes out more helps a lot. It also allows for a bit wider stance. I don't really have wide stance now but contrary to my initial beliefs a somewhat wider stance with toes pointed out does work and feels much better in the hips and upper glutes/lower back region.
Caleb: I had a similar issue when I switched to sumo deals lifting, I noticed bringing my feet slightly closer together and pointing my toes more outward helped a lot. I have also found that warming up the hips specifically before lifting helps a lot.
Could also be weak adductors. Sumo hits those a lot more than conventional and most people have weak adductors. Also Caleb is pulled forward a tad so it might be pulling hamstrings to hard. That can cause hip pain too
Love your videos. I’m also a coach and I’m wondering what you’re using to draw on video after you pause. Also what format are you using to get yourself in the bottom corner like that. Very cool. These tools would help me greatly in my online business. Thanks.
Daniel's deadlift looks more like a clean pull
Last clip: his shoulders look way over the bar.
2:16 perfect Clean start position 😂
Hey Bryce, I just wanted to thank you for your free 16-week program, I have just finished week 12 and I will admit, I have tested my maxes on certain days when I'm feeling really good, I have added 20kg to my bench (refining my technique in the earlier weeks may have helped with this a lot) about 15kg to my squat and about 20kg to my deadlift. Thanks so much man!
Tips for load management when you start to get pain from too much volume? Should I stop training the exercise that’s giving me pain for a week or should I take a short break from that exercise then load light?
Man we bout to form check a lot of home gym lifts
I'm starting the 16 week free program over again for the 5th time now - total PRs every time. went from 1303 to 1455lbs over the past 4 times running the program. Thanks Calgary.
What program?
@@stijnswerts8759 The 16 week free program
On the last one, he might be dealing with a tight TFL that needs to be looser and under active glute muscles. Most likely just needs to add to his warmup to add blood flow into the glutes to activate them.
Samantha has better form than most gym bros I see
good tip for beginers shuffling around when they unrack is to get your foot position correct with no weight then put a smudge of chalk each side of of your feet so you can clearly see it and step straight in. over time it becomes natural.
Excellent critiques! Especally at 5:46, very nuanced and completely true.
Samantha is by far my favorite all-time video submission!
Maybe over extension at top of sumo lift causing pressure on the L5
Finally hit 315 at 155. Feelsgoodman
I’m assuming hip pain is due to hip mobility, my guess is really work on your pre and post workout stretches to increase mobility in the hips!
Lot of good knowledge here, I learned a lot from others mistakes
Samantha is an absolute BEAST!
Looking forward to her world record lifts!
Caleb: possibly tight hip flexors? Make sure to do a proper warm up/stretching routine pre workout. Also maybe overextension or weak muscled around the glutes? Make sure to let your feet point where they would if you were just standing naturally. Slightly outwards is the most common 🤷🏻♂️
buddy. how can I send you a video of mine? I am seeking expert opinion as to what wrong am I doing? Here are 2 issues:
1. I end up with some back pain after my deadlifts at times.
2. I think I should be able to do more
Great video
Calebs hips seem to rise before the bar moves, which makes me think that he isnt pulling himself into the bar/bottom position. Also, ive found great success with my knees pointing a little farther out which allows me to stay more vertical as well
i've been doing body building lifts but want to begin strength should i do 10 5 3 2 1 1 plan for all compound lifts then other machines to in the same order what are your thoughts?
There are a lot of strength programs, maybe you could try starting strength program, you can Google it
I am not an expert but I feel Focusing on the muscle group we r training, is the key. Very heavy weights shifts our focus from the muscle to the lift...also chances of injury r more as form is hard to maintain under such stress...go heavy but not too heavy
last guy didnt had his knees out enough, the stance is probbly to wide for the mobilty he has in his hips aka internal hip rotation. breaking the floor with ur feet wil activate ur glute medius that can tribute on better internal hip rotation and getting ur knees out better. if that doesnt work you should probbly do some stretching before and after ur workouts untill its fixed
7:43 That's just fucking adorable
I think to help with Matt's control issue he should work on keeping his back tight. I had the same problem which my coach quickly fixed.
I was secretly waiting for you say "user submitted" instead of "viewer submitted" video. It had become a ritual in past until it wasn't.
reppin the kublai khan shirt, nice bro
Caleb you're doing what a lot of new sumo pullers do, a wide stance conventional.
You're not initiating the lift by pushing into the floor
How you gonna straight face that adorable shit? Lol!
Yay Samantha!
I miss the gym 😭
Homie in the first video repping Atletico that's what's up
first guy lost lower body tightness as well. You can see his feet move during the rep
at 215lbs BW how much should i be lifting to not embarrass myself if i were to compete
It's fun to hear a powerlifter say "Don't lift so heavy." :D
Last clip: leg drive seems efficient
Agreed. He overextends at the top which may put pressure on his hips, but it’s hard to say what’s causing the issue
This dude is fuckin legit
7:48 was not expecting that lol. Cute
I think Caleb is trying to lift the weight with his back, not using hip extension and maybe lacking of superior chain tension at the start
Kaylub on his sumo deadlift isn't removing enough slack on the barbell and his body before initiating his deadlift. You can tell how much stack there is every time someone initiates their deadlift. The more unnecessary movements, the more slack there is. Also, you can tell there's no tension on his arms and legs when he was leveraging himself down, that's why his hips was going up and down, and went up the moment he initiated the deadlift, on top of that, he's not actively using leverage by pushing his head back and hips forward and leading with his upper back/head. There more I want to say about it but I'm not sure how I can explain or describe it so people can get what I'm saying if I don't draw it out for people to see.
I do better with a closer grip bench like that guy for some reason. Mime is a bit wider than that but still somewhat narrow
Caleb, work on pushing your knees out. The bar is getting kicked out in front of you when you initiate the lift which could be causing your hips to overcompensate when you're getting toward lock out. When you go down to grab the bar in your set up think about pushing your knees out instead of leaning forward. You may need to put your torso over the bar to be able to grab it in the bottom position. But as long as you start the lift with your armpits over the bar you should be fine.
TLDR: You're pushing the bar out in front of you when you start the lift causing hip compensation. Try the queue of pushing your knees out.
How do we send the vidoes
Check the description!
Love the lil girl 😍
Yea samantha was best in video actually doing conventional deadlifts
Why doesn’t the guy at 5:50 just use two 15kg plates? Isn’t it easier to load and deload since you only need two plates instead of 6?
subiter - It looks more impressive with six plates. ☝️🥴
Thats my gym in the first video
Zero leg drive on the first one.
omg Samantha :__O
Its Friiiiiday friiiiday gotta get down with form check Friday (sidenote: anyone seen dave tates technique teardown)
Wish I could be lifting :/
What happened my man?
Master Chief Quarantine
The last man seemed to have the bar move away from his shins during the first half of the way up, maybe he could try sitting back a little more??????
12 kilo lifter lmao
caleb should point his feet out a little more towards the plates and possibly widen his stance a bit if it’s within his mobility and doesn’t cause him more pain. his hips seems to shoot up a little bit while his shoulders look to be leaning over the bar and maybe work on pulling the slack out of the bar
I think caleb just needs to turn his feet outward
That first guy has a lot plates.
My life goal is to squat 180kg, kids 17 and is squatting it am like WTF
You'll get there
@@calgarybarbell thank you
Lol! And that's an rpe of 11😜😂
Dudes be lifting like there is a million on the line hahahah
Man, great photoshop! I thought it was real
Do you charge for this?
3rd clip... Is that Michael Kory?....
Nick Renshaw no it was me lol. Kofi Richards
Kofi Tyrell I found you kof😎
Joseph come find me at the gym, I can help
Samantha 😂😂😂
LOL Sarah is boss!
Aka Samantha
Eddie and Hafthor got nothing on Samantha
Don't drop the bar from the top position, ZERO lol
I knew tubby didn’t have that many played, even if they were 10s
Samantha part. Lol love it. You didn't even break stride.
Looks like the bar is coming away from him a little too much.
That fourth guy was using fake weights.
caleb needs to stand a tad bit less wide. his hips arent flexible enough for this stance. or he needs to stretch his quads and psoas more
My question is when people feel compelled to wipe their feet all over the bench to get a tiny arch do they even bother to clean it up for those who can setup properly without wiping our dirty shoes on the equipment.
“Properly” 😂 you came to the wrong neighbourhood buddy
Mistua Toggaf haha yep
@@saundroid1253 true that.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for this channel and for Bryce as an athlete, but are the clickbait style thumbnails absolutely necessary?
Biggest clickbait i ever sawxD straight up just a lying picture with zero relevans to the video xD
