    Linear actuators are great for adding a power lift to a tractor that does not have hydraulics. They are a bit slow but work really well. Great job fitting the replacement

      This was less than $100 and will be a great asset
      The big question is how long it will last

    • @MurphyMower
      @MurphyMower  Před rokem

      At that price point

    Not a knock on your soldering by any means. However, industry standard is to tin the wire (straightened) with a little flux and solder, then lay the two tinned wires parallell and toich the sldering gun to them. They will stick immediately, and will transfer electricity efficiently.
    The real key is to pre-tin your wires, and they will stick well and easily.

    Put the motor up to the top, that way water won't run down the shaft to the motor.

      That’s a good suggestion, thanks

    how did you keep from hitting the gas tank with the pieces that lift up and lower the arm's

    Regardless how bad your solder joint looks, 3M black electrical tape will make it look better. You can stretch it pretty good to hide it 🙂

    • @MurphyMower
      @MurphyMower  Před 9 měsíci

      I got it off Amazon. It was like around $65 with a 4 inch stroke and I think the weight capacity was 650 pounds. I don’t remember the manufacturer right off.

      It sat out in the weather a few times and actually I used it yesterday afternoon so it still works nicely, make sure when you get is waterproof as some of them or not
