The 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 was my very first car as a teenager. Mine was light green. I've go to get one of these.
My Dad told me when I was a kid that XL stood for the "Unlimited" trim package model and the LTD stood for the "Limited". He could have been pulling my leg I guess but he did work in the automotive industry. Anyway, thanks for another entertaining video AND un-intended fond childhood memories of watching cars on main street in the 60's with my Dad.
Hey Alan, Thank you for watching the video! The actual acronym of XL apparently stands for 'Extra Luxurious', believe it or not, and as you said, LTD was 'Limited' (which always me me laugh and reminds me of the old Jerry Seinfeld joke about Fords being "limited editions". Now that ME Tv has the old Hawaii Five-O eps on TV, I get to see some HUGE cars on there and that takes me back too.
I really like your video on Pedal 2 Metal on hotwheel cars........👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you, John
I didn't think I was gonna like the red wheels but they actually look pretty sick.
Thanks, man!
Sweet ride and wheels
Thank you, Randy; and thank u for watching and commenting!
It was nice to finally see a green light drill depart I've never drilled one apart I love your Channel and I would like to support it how much would it cost for a custom Matchbox station wagon like he did last year with the boat on the roof I love how that turned out and I have watched that video a bunch of times
HW Hunter, email me at rtcopen@yahoo.com
It is an awesome casting
Thank you, Horacio; I like it too! Thanks for watching & commenting!
Looks pretty good with the new rims and tires man!! Have you considered soldering the axle to replace the part of the frame you had to cut?.... super glue always equals trouble for me... haha nice job!!
I wanted to run a small brass tube (or even a spray can extension tube) across the frame, but then I would have to cut the axle set in order to install the new set thru the tube and I didnt want to do that. I ended up using 5-min epoxy but lost the footage of me redoing everything (plus it would have been boring to most (maybe) and I also used some styrene plastic sheeting to "lift" the back end up more. I do have all the equipment here for soldering, but didnt feel the need... but good idea! Thanks for watching!
It needs some Jensen Tri axles on the back deck, ;-) looks good brother
LOL, thanks man!
That is a pretty car
Thank you!
alot of the galaxys rotted away due to inferior metal used by ford back then.
im pretty sure there was a 7 liter galaxy made as well.
it is a pretty cool lookin diecast.

You are correct, the 428 was the 7 liter. Thanks for watching!
