During the Nine Tails attack even his own followers said they should be helping the village, but he refused

Agreed. I like Orochimaru a lot better than Danzo. Orochimaru is just the typical mad scientist, he just can't stop himself from doing whatever it takes to understand jutsu. Danzo however, is an absolute hypocrite, of the worst kind. One that constantly uses his inane plans to justify both his means, and his actions. When that is in truth just an excuse for his envy and ambition, a way to justify his own desires to himself.

In this episode, we got not one but two new Steve Blum characters. Ao and Onoki.
That side eye at 12:57 felt like a mangekyou sharingan lol
Ao and Mei are 15 years apart, while Zabuza and Mei are around the same age. So Ao was already a chuni or jonin way before Zabuza entered the academy and killed the students. 4th Mizukage was probably Mizukage, before Naruto's birth to where they were trying to capture the 3 tails. So Ao would have been in school under the 3rd Mizukage and not during the whole 4th Mizukage Era

It's Really understandable this hatred people have towards danzo. But you have to view for The perspective of the series, Like he's a Great Villain a truly scumbag for sure, but That's What makes him special. He's not an Epic character like Pain, Far FROM It, but you Cant Deny He's a Good written character.
Thatâs what I like about Danzo, they made him so I likable that heâs... likable. Itâs weird for sure, and it makes you see his perspective as well, while not many people agree with him, itâs important to understand him and what his true intentions for the hidden leaf are. Idk, no offense to Lindsay, but it seems to me she just blindly hates him, makes sense, I understand her, but Kishimoto really know how to make villains!
Yeah, he serves his purpose very well. He is the only character in Naruto I actually hated and the show makes it very easy to hate him.

He is a very well written character *because* everyone hates him. That's the whole point of his character. He's not supposed to be liked by anyone (or be likeable in any way shape or form), so I'll say Kishi did a really good job in writing his character.

To be fair, this a whole new situation with the center of it all being his biggest failure in his life thus far, which he's still processing and working through so his maturity in dealing with his own hate and pain doesn't apply here (the way he tried to settle things with Karui and Omoi were establishing this very prospect). But yeah, it is very frustrating how immediately immature, neglectful, and down right arrogant he comes off in the following arc
